Went to scout around deer camp with the dog this morning and stopped to take in the view.

The lake is called High Banks and is over 100ft deep. Great for pike, small mouth and crapi, and some big for Michigan turtles. My son and I hike there in the summer and set up rustic camps around the lake and live off the fish and red squirrels on the weekends.

Thanks! She is a 4 year-old Lab\Chow mix and is the perfect trail dog.

Way cool territory there. A few days there would clear the cobwebs and stress from anyone's brain - we should require it...!

I could see my tent set back from the lake and a nice little fire going. I'd like about a two week vacation there. thanks fo rthe pics.

I agree. After driving back and forth 130 miles round trip everyday and working as a IT contractor this summer supporting over 2000 clients, getting away to that spot and a few others was a must!!
