72 year old makes meat
No, not me.. I'm only 64.. the little Winchester 94 carbine is a 1940 model I picked up a year or so ago.. finally took her out for a spin.. just like God and Winchester made her, factory open sights.. knocked over a nice fat antelope doe at about 90 yds....I'm dinning on fresh backstrap butterflys even as I type... delicious...hope to do a little more damage this fall with leverguns.. Re: 72 year old makes meat
kimwcook: sorry to hear that.. I have been pretty busy, divideing my time between Wyoming and N. Idaho this fall and takeing a run in the semi every couple of weeks.. I missed deer season here in Wy. and didn't even buy a general elk tag..guess I'll have to schedule my priorities a little better.. I'll hunt whitetail in N. Idaho last week of Nov.. always in the rut and most times plenty of snow.. later Les

Re: 72 year old makes meat
Danny, I'm still a Wyoming resident..had to buy an Idaho non-res tag combo and a deer license plus couldn't pass up a $34 wolf tag for Idaho.. into the package about $585... won't be hunting Idaho elk anytime soon this fall....out of shekels.... I picked up a couple of Wy. resident additional doe/fawn antelope and one cow/calf elk to make meat in Wyoming.. it'll have to hold me this fall..Les

Re: 72 year old makes meat
thats awesome. nothing taste better than critters either raised by yourself or harvested by yourself. I love seeing these "old timers" out taking game. well done.
