Texas Ranger Family History
A while back I posted about my GG Grandfather having been a Ranger in the 1870s. Here is an article about him. I also have copies of his discharge papers and pay records. However, they are PDF files and I see that the forum software will not allow PDF's. I'm not sure how to convert them to JPG, but if I figure it out, I'll post them as well.

Re: Texas Ranger Family History
I liked the line at the end about running a race.
This man lost one of his eyes during old age to cancer. My grandfather told me he was in extreme pain the entire later part of his life and eventually committed suicide. This was in the early 1930's.
