Good writeup; not just the usual quick paragraph of fluff.

Ironic that he will receive his award from someone who is his polar opposite... :|
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

A military hero for our country for sure! I'am confused about the "God loves his warriors" heading.

In my Biblical readings, St. Michael, Samson, David and Joshua were warriors. It is my belief that God looks favorably upon those who go in harm's way to defend their fellows against evil forces. There is no doubt this young man did just that. Strictly my opinion, to which I am entitled.

Could be said about Muslims and the Koran. Each book lists who they deem as evil and who are the righteous.

A humble guy from Kentucky now gets to enjoy status as a living legend -- very cool. I realize that a MOH recipient does not do the things he does for the accolades -- things happen fast and some men out there step up big -- and the vast majority of MOH recipients receive the award posthumously. But it is neat that this young man survived to tell the tale, so to speak.

Yep, that is a shame - the dishonorable recognizing the honorable.

Semper Fi Marine!

I have no use for actors, athletes, or entertainers of any stripe. Yes, some are possibly talented in their chosen fields, but none are heroes. I don't wear sports jerseys and the like. I do wear military t-shirts - to honor those that serve. These are my heroes!!!

I love all the descriptions of his adolescent noncompliance.
Guess where leaders come from? Certainly not the compliant.
