OT - Please say a little prayer for my Army son to do well
My youngest, Steven, is in basic training. This week he begins his weapons training. I'd like to ask for your prayers for him to do well. He has grown to be an outstanding marksman and hunter and this means a lot to him. All his life he has looked forward to being a soldier. I have done my best to teach him, now it all comes down to this week.
They sure grow up fast....
Thank you,
Gary

Done, I'm sure he will do fine, you taught him well.
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.

Gary,
Don't worry about your son. You did your job well in training him, he'll do well in basic.

Prayers up. Been there and done that. If you attend his graduation, you will feel very old indeed. Both times my constant thought was, "Did I ever look that young", and "Now I know how my dad felt". Seems like you boy is on a good track. Best of luck to him.

He should do just fine as long as he listens to his range coaches. Wish him the best of luck

Prayers sent. I am sure he will excel in basic. Sounds like he had a good teacher.
Like was said, I wonder if I ever looked that young...it's been over 39 years since I went to basic in Fort Knox, Ky. My first permanent duty station was Mt. Gleason, just south of Palmdale, off Angeles Crest hwy. Got there Sept '72, and stayed in Palmdale till June of 2009.
