A young female polecat, Tia had it pinned down for over half hour untill I noticed and grabbed the air rifle.

She is a good girl, retrieved it too after! Smelly thing!

We call Skunks -Polecats, I guess it is a misnomer. I thought U had a Weasel there. Tia is such a good Model. How terrific is the smell from that thing ? Skunks r unbearable, U can hold Ur breath but it seems to enter right through Ur Stomach. PPPPPPPPPPPUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Nath, have to say I really enjoy your posts. :) Usually not about a new gun (for obvious reasons) but very interesting regardless - this one's a good example.

I believe skunks are at least distantly members of the 'weasel' family (recently there was a 'distancing' of the classification based on DNA vs. physiologic data).

Isn't that what you call a "stoat"? Weasel to me. Tia sure is a beautiful little spaniel. I miss our Cocker, Sophie, who died at 15 2 years ago. :)

No it ain't going over the fire place! The first chance the mrs got it would be in the fire!

Weasels, stoats, ferrets, badgers and polecats over here anyway are the same family and stink!
