Anyway gang, I could use some positive thoughts sent my way, as it seems I have developed a torn retina in my right eye -- yet again! -- as this is the same eye it happened to back in early 2009.
Seems I might have gotten a "bad weld" and it didn't hold?!?!?!

When it happened the first time, that eye doc said I was "at risk" of developing a future tear in the left eye. But I didn't expect it to repeat in the same eye again... So now there's some heightened risk of a full retinal detachment, which would be more serious and involve a more complicated laser procedure. Since we moved recently, I had a new eye doc today and as an ex-Navy man (and Harvard Grad), he used ultrasound to "look" through all the blood and junk in the eye and was able to show us pictures of the tear. Yup -- looks like a bad weld. So far, the attachment of the retina looks good though. So here I am, half blind in the right eye due to the tear, but am literally "in the dark" on the fate of a possible detachment for the next 72 to 96 hours -- we'll know more by the end of the week.
I didn't label this as a "prayer request", as I know there are some much more serious needs out there, but dang it all guys, -- I can't see my sights to shoot! And we can't run the boat due to the bouncing we'd take... And, I'm limited to 3 hours of e-mail/computer use per day, so you know that work will have to take a priority (but not tonight).
When this happened 2 years ago, I experienced these challenges:
- Go to pet the dog and got a handful of air
- Reached for a light switch and missed it by 2 or 3 inches
- Put some cream in my coffee and missed the cup completely
...And so far, I've managed to repeat all of those and then some! Binocular vision should not be taken for granted! Protect you eye guys! (And gals too!)
Grrr... Not a happy camper here... But still very grateful for all the blessings I've been given.
Thanks all! Tight groups!
I hope to "see you" all again here soon!
