squirrel rifle 2011 Done.
Just got started on a rifle for this fall. 1947 39a, green mountain octagon barrel, english walnut. still have to get sights, foolproof or lyman 66. have 5 months till hunting season barring any problems should be done in plenty of time.

Stocks inletted, shaped, and sanded. started to put finish on, now to polish and blue the ]metal. will have Brian powley, powley engravers.com will put barrel markings on for me.

As one that diddles in home gunsmithing himself, I must say that is some fine work there. Somewhat beyond what I would probably attempt myself. But, you never know

Foolproof? On a nice rifle like that? Thats like putting Sears tires on a '58 'vette. D & T the tang and install a quality original Lyman tang sight on it.-----------------Sixgun

A nice, properly slim forearm I see. That's going to look great compared the the Louisville Slugger is used to wear under the barrel.

Done. Still needs sights, but the truck needs a radiator. below is the young lady who's name is on the barrel, Amelia Mae, someday this will be her rifle.

The '47 tang is already D&Td from the factory. Never mind the Lyman tang sight, go for a Marble's tang sight!!!!
