Picture taken in May 1983 at York Rifleman (clay shooting )
This was a few weeks before leaving for my short tour to
Lajes Field Azores Portugal USAF.
Still single (pre Lady J) and still even had some hair.
Pre Parker SxS obsession, & yes I still have that Rem. 870
I am at the age now that when I look at my photos from the 70's, I can only think of how I was in so much better shape then than I am today at 56.

If by shape you mean to say I didn't have furniture disease in the 70's (you where your chest falls in your drawers), then I 'm right there with you at age 53.
In the '70's I had four 870's.We may get old and "rotund" ,but the 870 remains as the best all around shotgun ever made.
A few weeks ago the Doctor put some X-ray of My back up on the screen and in a kind note said "your gettin old". Father time waits on us All.

Hmmm... which one?
Me, 1971 after a hospital visit, recuperating on Midway Island... Was wondering what I'd done to get stationed there! Wasn't the only one wondering that!

Lots of truth in that statement.
The 870 I’m holding in the picture I converted over to an awesome slug gun
about two years latter after I got out of the Air Force.
I had the receiver D&T’d, scoped, slinged and installed a Rem. slug barrel.
Took many a deer with it over the years hunting on Letterkenny Army Depot (slugs only)
My Son took his first deer with it.
Dang it Salvo, you made me spit beer all over the keyboard.
The last time I saw a dude with that much hair he was on a black and white TV in ModSquad.
A few years back the kids were looking through a photo album with the missus and saw a pic of a young buck with hair all over his face and muscles all over his body and one of the little mongrels said " wow who's the buff guy?". When she said it was their dad they replied " Yeh, right "

What`s that second gun with the lever, or is there a gun behind what looks like a shotgun?

This was me back in the early 80's. Still have plenty of hair, it just isn't as long, and has changed color somehow. Sort of a geezer effect now. Not sure how that happened.

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?
Me looking cool in my aviator (GI issue no less) sunglasses. The hair was pushing it a bit back then, and would probably cause much grief today. Probably 1973.
