Not proper huntin'

Post by gamekeeper »

I put my computer in the bedroom at my new place as it gives me a wider field of view (fire) from the bedroom window.
These are two of the Squirrels that passed by while I was working.
Like I say, not proper huntin'

You gentlemen should be very careful about them squirrels over there. Remember, "Jedi Knight" is a UK recognized Religion - and the squirrels know it.

Jay, I shot the squirrel with a CB long, I use it single shot with those but I have found CCI mini mags both solids and hollow points are 100% reliable and now the gun is broken in I can use CCI segmented hollow point sub sonics too. Bullet shape seems to be the deciding factor on how well it feeds.
When I got it, NIB, I only ran a bore-snake through the barrel and left the action untouched just to see how reliable it was without TLC, I was pleased that it shot so well with CCI ammo but it does not like anything that's not round nosed.
I have cleaned and lubed the action now and it just gets better, It's quite accurate with HV ammo, CB longs are a bit inconsistent but quiet when I'm shooting out of the bedroom window.

Good shooting. From what I have heard the gray squirrel is a real pest over in England.
