OT - Prayers needed RIGHT NOW! - Update

My wife walks for exercise most mornings in our neighborhood with some of her lady friends. This morning her friend called to say that one of our neighbors, an Air Force veteran, came home this morning and discovered his adult son not breathing. The son has had some health issues and lives in the basement they finished for him as an apartment.

I ran down but the emergency personnel wouldn't let me through. I didn't want to push it - just wanted to make sure he wasn't alone. I fear the worst.

Please stop and say a prayer if you can.

Done. The Emergency personnell have their rules to work by, and that is why they wouldn't let you in. NOTHING PERSONAL, but that is the way their rules work.

Update:

Unfortunately, the news is not good. Our neighbor's son passed away. Right now they think he had a seizure in the middle of the night. There is nothing anyone could have done.

I can't imagine the pain they are going through. I know some of the members here have lost children. No one should ever have to go through this pain. :cry:

Lots of things they have to work through emotionally, for sure. Family counselling usually helpful, but if you want to stroll through a bookstore in the 'self-help' section, there are books tailored to every age/education/philosophy to help one sort his/her emotions out somewhat, if he/she is too shy to ask others for help. If you know the family well enough to pick such a thing out for them, it could help.
