Ruger Old Army is discontinued. What is the next best production C&B revolver?

I believe the Colt parts are made in the Italian plants, then shipped to Colt for final assembly and finishing. When they make the shift to making them 100% here, as USFA did their SAA's, I would be in line to buy one. Lately I have been drawn to the Remington repros though.

IMHO (ever do humble) the 1860 Army Colt was the pinnacle of the black-powder revolver era. The balance is simply phenominal. Granted, it is not nearly as strong, with it's open top, as the Remington design - or the Remington inspired Ruger "Old Army". However, it is just fantastic and points so naturally!!!

Well, as much as I love my '51 Navies, 2nd place in this hoss race has to go to the Remington 1858 revolvers. Keep an eye out on the USFA site as they've announced an agreement to produce these under license from Remington, in both .44 Army and .36 Navy configurations.
I predict that the SASS bunch, especially those with a few extra bucks burning holes in their pockets will be snapping these up as they come off the assembly line. I've got my notice in for a pair of the .36s as soon as they're available!
But, the '51s are the cat's meow for balance and STYLE!

Well... the '61s have a round trigger guard, this square-back took a little getting used to. But, been shooting '51s since '87 and I've grown to prefer it. The '61s feel a little lighter, but the '51s seem to hold better. Plus, I like the direct link for the rammer vs. the ratchet of the '60/'61/'62.
