Please join the NRA....Updated 2/19/2009!

Post by Levergun »

Now that Obama is the president.....His agenda has not changed and in fact it is getting worse. You can see his plans for taking our guns right on the presidents website!

Just look at the facts, Rom Emanual, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and others. He has the old Clinton administration in there and is working on passing taxes and bans on our ammo and guns.

We need as much help as we can get. The NRA is one that can help us.

I am a recruiter now and can offer ya'll a year membership for the price of $25.00. The banner and link is on the home page of my website.

http://www.levergunleather.com

I am now a life member and bought memberships for my kids.

FYI, I am not receiving a commission from the NRA for this service. I told them to keep all the proceeds from the memberships. I just want to be able to help some how.

The Tiahrt Amendment does NOT restrict police from accessing trace data during an investigation. It does keep the info hidden from politicians and newspapers.
Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade.
THIS IS A BOLD-FACED LIE!
PLEASE TELL EVERYONE WHO SPREADS THIS LIE THAT IT IS A LIE.
Do a Google "news" search for Tiahrt and gun, limit it to past day and sign up for email alerts. You will get an email with links to news articles containing your search. If you limit your search words, the emails are few and far-between. When you read the articles, you may feel the need to post a comment to the publisher/poster of that article.

Some of mine:
Carolina gun control
Carolina concealed carry
Supreme court Heller
Tiahrt gun
and a bunch that no longer get hits. Often a person's name, like the guy who lost his guns in Denver at the hotel during the DNC.
Kind regards,
Tycer

i am already a life member of the NRA.

one of the things i find absolutely amazing is the fact that people who believe obama is "the answer" are usually in the "it could never happen here" crowd, too.

i read in our local newpaper, a letter to editor that the writer actually believes: "as long as we have a second amendment, we can form a milita and take care of the politicians who try to take us over."

the last i heard, it is a federal and state crime to organize an armed "milita" with the intent to practice military maneuvers, training or undertake military action.

can you imagine the reaction by the powers that be, if a "militia" tried to remove the mayor of a city? a county supervisor? state governor?

there are many clear and present danger signals being sent out by the left wing here in this country right now such as; the "fairness doctrine", "sensible gun control laws", "what's wrong with live birth abortion?"...the list goes on...but, like the robot in the old TV series "Lost in space" used to say; "WARNING! WARNING! DANGER!"

all one has to do is review history. we are headed the way of the roman empire...like it or not, believe it or not.

it's been said many times, by many people, in many ways, but it's message is inescapable; those who forget history, WILL repeat it.
if you think you're influencial, try telling someone else's dog what to do---will rogers

how to get an NRA life membership cheap -- if you act really fast
With the upcoming elections, it's a good time to join the NRA if you've been thinking about it. And if you're like me, and you've been thinking of joining as a life member, they're giving you an unadvertised chance to do it really cheap. Life membership currently runs a thousand bucks. But until February 15th -- that's Friday -- if you join as a referral from an existing life member, you can become one yourself for just $300. And you don't need an application form; you can do it right over the phone.

You need the NRA life member to give you his or her membership number, name, and address (for verification purposes). Call the NRA (877-NRA-2008), tell them you're joining through the promotion. When they ask for membership number give them the life member's, then verify the name and the address. Then give 'em your credit card number and pick your magazine -- and that's it; you're an NRA life member. Or will be when your membership packet arrives.

If you don't know an NRA life member, call your range, or your gun shop, and ask if they know anybody who can help you out. Good chance they can. My membership packet hasn't arrived yet, so I can't sponsor anyone myself.

Again: This promotion ends February 15th, which is this Friday... NOT True. A friend of mine called yesterday, gave him my Life Information (name and Life # and date 'elected' only, they charged his credit card for $300 and that was it!

Anyone who needs a Life Sponsor - send me a PM - be glad to sponsor you!
Regards
John

I am a life memeber as well. So feel free to call me as well.

Actually, if you become a recruiter (which is free.) they will offer you a life membership if you are a business owner in the field for $300 bucks as well.

Bottom line is, call the NRA and just talk with them about all these options and they WILL hook you up. Membership to the NRA is critical right now and we all need to stick together to save our gun rights! :)

My wife,daughter,and myself join annually.
Here is the funny thing.About 2 months before our memberships expire every year I get a call from someone in the NRA offering
if I pay right now over the phone(credit card) we can reup all for $75

I tell the dude, dont worry a couple weeks before they run out I will mail you our Dues. $105 He kept saying but your paying more?
We went over this for 5 mins before he finally got it.I want to pay more. Its a cause I believe in.The normal cost is CHEAP for what they do.But now I am doing that deal pay the normal fee and pick 3 friends/relatives add extra $10 each.Heck I will just tell them after,Hey pal guess what your a proud member of the NRA.I will do this to increase members as much as I can.6 members for $135 GREAT.Though 9 people would be better.
Its this very rare occasion I dont mind paying more than!
But hey that deal by going through like Levergun is a Great Deal.
Just Join how ever you do it and get everyone else to join too.
Hey Levergun, next time can I get my normal 3 family members and 6 associates for $135????? "Thats 9 people total". Maybe I can go through you!!! MORE PEOPLE IS BETTER
3x25=$75 6x10=$60 $75+$60=$135
Ours expire this August--- See ya,

Madman,
It is for those reasons that I do not collect commission. The recruiter can receive commission for every person that signs up for the NRA. I told the NRA I did not want the commission because I am not doing this to make money. I am doing it to help get more folks signed up for the NRA.

3 full member ships is $75.00 and 9 associate memberships are $90.00 ($10.00 ea.) So your total would be $165.00. I do not have the authority to sign up members at further discounts than the NRA allows.

But I can tell you that if you call the NRA and sign up to be a recruiter (It is free) then you can get a huge discount on a life membership! Shhhhhhhh :P

Levergun,
Your a good man for doing it.
What I meant was 9 total.

I think in the last paragraph it states that.
My wife/daughter/myself and 6 associates.
In the middle part of the post I just meant that 9 would be better than joining up 6 people.this includes ourselves.I should have been more clear on that.
Thanks!
Thanks for helping the NRA! Anyone who wants gun rights must join the NRA.People need to do their part.Plus your doing extra. Thanks!
Also heck maybe I will sign up to recruit.Man I have been informally
recruiting in a sense anyone and everyone I can for years.
maybe I will take this next step. Thanks a lot for your guidance! :)

Your Welcome Madman,
Yes, that is why I did it....I just a soon have the paperwork on hand so I can sign folks up. since I have my own website, I can do it internationally with out doing anything! I get about 100 hits per day so if one person per day signs up, that is alot of members!

It also gives me an excuse to buy a table at a gun show and recruit....I can see the show all three days and have fun! I did it before and I really enjoyed it. :)

Glad to hear that! I'm limping along with a meager disability income but I'm still gonna upgrade from an "annual" member to a "life" member on the payment plan. Time my kids got a membership too. We all need to do what we're able to with this "Obamanation" disgracing the white house. Hopefully next year the dems will get a rude awakening with mid term elections, but they could do a lot of damage by then .....Dennis

Howdy Buck Owin,
Welcome to the forum.....One thing I would like to say is.....I do not believe in Dem or Rep. anymore. I am going to register as an independent from here on out. Both the Right and the left are equally corrupt and work together to accomplish their goals of domination. :(

I VA we don't register with a particular party although we do have to "declare" in primaries.

Here in Idaho, regardless of how I declare, I can vote for anyone on the ticket.

When I was in CA.....your ballot candidates are listed according to your declaration. In other words, if you registered as a Republican, the only candidates on the ticket were Republican. Also, if you did not vote for all the other propositions and what not that are included in the ballot, then your vote would be null and void and thrown out!

The more and more I research how voting takes place across the country and how the votes are counted as well as how folks can register to vote, the more I am beleiving our voting system is corrupt and completely controlled.

Case and point, when you register to vote, you are not required to prove citizenship. As long as a name is on a piece of paper at a voting station, you can vote and your vote will be counted. :o

Howdy yourself and many thanks amigo. We're in agreement here and I changed to independent quite awhile back. I lean towards the libertarians myself but can see little use in voting that way. So far a third party vote isn't feasible IMO, and look what happened with the Perot voters back when.....All they did was get Clinton elected! (And now Hillary is a hemorrroid that won't go away) I hope what with the way the Obamanation is screwing up with "Obamacare" and spewing socialism around that he'll sink the dems for awhile. A lot of folks who supported him are realizing their folly now that it's too late. Also, the GOP should have found a better "running mate" for Sarah Palin! Yeah, it sucks having to choose betwwen the lesser of two losers.....Makes me want to go burn some H-110 and forget about it for awhile...Dennis :x

I hear ya....We have three years to try and change that perception and get more folks to vote out side of the right left paradime. I actually voted for Perot the first time he ran! I think if Ron Paul runs again, I am going to vote for him. Not sure if I will vote for Mrs. Palin if she runs....But we will have to see what all happens in the next few years.

I think we need to figure out ways to get more Americans informed on this issue and to get involved. We are loosing our country and I think the majority of Americans are blind to it.

That is a good thing....I personally do not agree with everything the NRA does, but for the most part, they are protecting our gun rights.

I hope you did it through my website cause if ya'll don't know....I do not make a dime from doing this. I donate all my possible profits back to the NRA as a recruiter. I could make a percentage of the memberships that are signed up but I want my profits to stay with the NRA. Just my way of continually helping the cause.

That being said, I bought a DPMS AP4 AR-15 this week! :D :D :D

I don't agree with everything they say either, but how can you have a voice in an organization if you are not a member?

I used to be a member when I was younger but I let it lax. I'm not the most disciplined sumbitch in the world.

I would of done it through your site, but it was a rather inspired moment and I only read this link afterwards!

I have been an NRA member since 1997. My father, whom I admire greatly was an NRA member since the 50's, he has passed and before that happened he was abit upset with a NRA reference to "jackbooted thugs." I will continue to be a member of the NRA, I have also joined Gun Owners of America. I want an organization that won't back down ever. I think of myself as a 3 percenter,(sipsey street irregulars.) I wont back down and I will not allow anymore infringement of my 2nd ammendment rights. "cold dead hands" like Charles said. I wont allow any infringement of my Constitutional rights or my God given rights. "Come and take it" from south Texas.

I like what you said in "God given rights" Too many people say "Constitutional rights". Folks don't realize that the constitution does not give you rights it was written to protect our God given rights. If the constitution GAVE rights, then that would mean the "Rights" are not rights at all but privileges.

We all need to wake up and get back to the basics and meanings of the constitution and our God given rights and tell all our world dominant politicians and bureucrats to go pound sand!

Gentlemen, and Ladies,

In another thread one of our members became angry with the NRA about the language of a proposed CCW bill supported by the NRA and called for an NRA boycott. He even said he'd not be renewing his currently due membership.

Let me say right up front, I sometimes get mad about some of the compromises the NRA makes. But I am a Life Member. I have no intention of pulling a George H.W. Bush and burning my membership card. I will stay in and fight.

If you think the NRA is too wishy-washy or to wimpy, don't boycott, and don't resign if you are a member! You can't make changes from outside!

If you don't belong, join! EPL is a great way to go! If you are a member stay or upgrade your membership.

Then call your state NRA reps, call National HQ, complain and raise seventeen different kinds of hell until they start to listen to the rank and file! Be a thorn in their sides, a pain in their butts! Make them regret the day they accepted you money and had to accept your comments along with it. It won't be easy, but we can make the NRA more reflective of the views of the staunchest Second Amendment Supporters.

I know the NRA is not perfect. I know they've screwed the pooch on more than one occasion and that it has offted disappointed its membership. But let us face facts gents. Without the efforts of the NRA over the last 80 years, we'd all be living in Morton Grove, IL.

Join the NRA, and recruit your friends!

OK fine...... Why don't all the members call your state NRA reps, call National HQ, complain and raise seventeen different kinds of hell until they start to listen to the rank and file! Be a thorn in their sides, a pain in their butts! Make them regret the day they accepted you money and had to accept your comments along with it. Sorry to hear it bothers you that much. I get mailings all the time and I usually check them out for information and updates and then simply throw them away. Not really a big deal to me.

You could simply just throw all your items in the trash when you get them. I would much rather throw mail in the trash then have the politicians ban my guns.

I guess the biggest problem I had with it was that (the last year I payed dues) was that they sent me 22 mailings. I would rather they spent that money on lobbists (although I depise them) and recruting more members. Not spending YOUR money and mine sending worthless paper to members. In this day in age, if I want NRA news all I have to do is go the there website.

FOR REAL!!!

I get mail several times each week that goes in the trash unopened! And most of it ain't from the NRA!! Sure I'd rather the NRA spend the money fighting for our gun rights, but it just ain't that big a deal. Don't y'all realize that lots of these mailings cost the NRA nothing because they are paid advertising from folks offering "Special NRA-Member Only"services?

I was planning on not renewing my membership due to the NRA's support of Harry Reid. After reading the above posts I've changed my mind. You are right, you can't make a difference from outside the organization.

Do you have any discounts for renewing members?

I've been a Life Member of the NRA for years.
I still send them a few dollars from time to time to keep fighting the good fight.......a fight that will never end.
The liberals who want to micromanage everybody's life from cradle to grave hate the NRA...........to me that means the NRA gotta be the good guys.
The Second Amendment (2A) & the NRA which is the political lobby action arm of 2A means "Power to the People" & that is why power mongers like George Soros, Michael Bloomberg & their world domination agenda shell organizations like the UN & IANSA will always hate us.
The NRA & its membership are political soldiers on the side of democracy, inalienable human rights & freedom.
You cannot enslave an armed & free nation.
Without the NRA Americans would be disarmed serfs grovelling at the feet of the Robber Barons (big money, big corporations & big government) now.
If you're not a NRA member join NOW..... are you waiting for others to fight for YOUR rights??
