My buddy Dave graduated last friday in Jeff(erson) City with 18 others from the Missouri Department of Conservation. He's been after this since he left high school. Several years of college, a couple years shoveling fish poop at Montauk State Park Trout Hatchery and six months of agent training and it has come to fruition. He'll be managing Carter county so if you see him say 'Hi'.

Good luck to him in his new career. Firemen and game wardens... fools both. Firemen rush in where others are fleeing. And a game warden takes to the field with a sixgun, knowing that everyone he has to deal with has a high powered rifle.
Thankfully, there are those brave individuals willing to take the risks. Kinda humbling, knowing I lack that courage.

Wishing him all the luck in the world he'll have a fulfilling and long career. Often thought I'd of liked to of been a game agent instead of general law enforcement as I love guns and hunting, but then I think of all the cool stuff I've been able to do in my LEO career that I wouldn't of been able to do if I was a fish and game officer and the thought disappears.
