Thanks. I really like the first one. I'd hate to throw a loop with the lariat in the second pic.

Yup remington new model army. Here is mine, a original but refinished many years ago. Someone also put a old king post front sight on it and squared the hog wallow notch. It shoots just fine.

i think the second guy is getting ready to put up

a clothes line for his wife. :lol: no way any kind of stockman

would pack a rumpled string like that.

Some of those old grass ropes could get plenty limp after a while. Looks like that one may not have all the 'misses' thrown out of it yet, though.

Probably just a studio prop...
