After more than three months without a computer, or regular internet access, I'm back online. And boy have there been some changes in my life.

Marcia and I have gotten a divorce and I'm back in Alabama. I'm also dealing with some new health problems.

I've been told that God never sends us more troubles than we have the strength to bear. But there are times when I think the Good Lord sets too high a store on my strength.

I've also been told that anything that doesn't kill us makes us stronger. At this rate, I ought to be able to give old Samson a fair run for the prize prety soon.

But enough complaining! I'm just glad to be back with friends and family.

What sort of mischief have you fellows been brewing?

Glad you're back, I ( we ) missed you. Sorry to hear about the divorce. Those are hard no matter how they turn out.

Mischief ... us ..... naw we been good lil boys and girls. Yep, girls. We got two full growed and one young lady here with us now.

We in the midwest had a get together in IN last month. Great time. you can read about it here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18454

KirkD's sister Carla Beck is a Canadian country music singer. I got a autographed copy of her CD. Good music.

On the home front health issues here too. Dr. is sending me and mine to have tests done. Haven't said anything cos I don't know my own feelings yet.

BJ, i've been thinking about visiting with you!

I'm in Crenshaw County, just under 150 miles and just under 3 hours from Columbus, according to MapQuest.

We are more or less on friendly terms for the moment, and I hope to maintain those terms until i get the last of my junk out of the house in Moorhead. After that, Marcia and my Mom will probably lock horns over a couple of sore points.

Doc just so you don't feel singled out
my first wife was murdered in 1980
my best friend in this world died 1990 buried him on my birthday
my second wife decided she could do better then me in 2000 and it took two years for the court to give her almost all of my stuff. What they didn't take I had to sell for legal fees. Lost all my firearms, lost my tractor, lost my kids( they still want nothing to do with dad)
retired 6 years ago bad mistake, moved west best thing I ever did in my life
got married again and have 6 kids home two under the age of four
have replaced all my lost firearms plus, the new wife just laughs when I walk in with a new one and asks if it is the last one. We laugh as the last few were all the last one. She has her own firearms also
last year in March we lost our 13 almost 14 year old daughter
Now we are coming up on a new decade and i wonder what is next
Oh my legs are almost shot, walking some days is very hard and I am to pig headed to use a cane so far
Life is a journey and sometimes we get stones and sometimes we get a soft path and then sometimes we just get more of the same. hang in there as if it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger and understand things better two.
Like the brain tumor that can end my days in five minutes if it gets to feeling frisky. Live each day like it is your last and things will work out and enjoy life by all means and treat yourself once in a while.
We have several handicap kids in the house and it keeps you going.
