It is a 1894, 30 WCF, 24 inch, half round/half octagon rifle with a button magazine. It was made in 1918. It also has an express Winchester rear sight with the three flip up sights, marked 50, 1, and 2. The bore is also very good. The bad news is that it has been re-blued sometime in the past. They did a good job because all the stamping is still crisp. The barrel is turning a beautiful plumb color. I really don't like redone rifles but I just could not leave this one at the gun shop. You just don't see this configuration that often. At least I don't. I gave the guy 1000.00 for it. I will shoot it for a while and see if it goes up in the future.

Very nice rifle ya got there for a good price...
I saw a Deluxe 1894 w/old reblue today @ $2950..Features I remember were:Pretty wood w/checkering, Take down, shotgun butt , half mag, 26" barrel, 2 leaf folding barrel sights, Winchester tang peep..Seems a little steep for a reblue...
I think 'ya did fine. A reblue job that is just reblued is not nowhere near as bad as one that has been buffed down an additional 1/4". Plus, you got a couple of special order features on your rifle that were made at a time when they were just about non-existent. If the reblue does bother you, its really nothing to give it a rust blue to give it the proper color it once had . Now......go play with that baby and let us know how she shoots------------Sixgun
