Well, at the current high bid price it'd be well worth the effort to INVENT a project to send him. :) Take one of your existing guns and send it off. Or pick up a new Ruger Flat Top 44 Special and send it off. Or... :)

Well, if it goes for my top bid I won't feel bad - but my high bid is far below the value of the item offered... And I DO happen to have a piece of steel I could send thataway for some sprucin' up... hadn't thought about doing so before this showed up, but it's doable. :) :D Still, I'd RATHER see someone else get a heck of a deal on it.

I actually do have two projects in the works that will be color cased... but they're 94 receivers, and IIRC, Mike doesn't color case them due to the thin frame rails... But... I do have a twice by with 86er, maybe...

Leverguns is a good forum, and I’m happy to support a worthy cause.

Griff ; No problem doing 94 frames as long as they are made out of steel and not Winchester's mystery metal.

The only stuff that I won't do are parts made out of Med -High carbon steels such as frames made out of 4140. I also don’t do Glock frames, Aluminum or stainless parts for obvious reasons.

I also don't see an expiration date… so you may not have a project today….

Both the 94 frames I need done are the mystery metal... but the twice-by should be steel... what type I ain't sure... 86er said it'd be a few months before he could get around to it, but it does need some work on the action... so it'd have to wait till he's done.

Hmmm... I've been toying with the idea of having my .25-20 restored. This may be just the thing that pushes me over.
