I have quit shooting the 28 ga for the most part and have plenty of Longshot to do other stuff with.
Any successes?

I subscribe to Load Data online and it has a way to search by powder. It looks like it would work good in several pistol cartridges.... 32 H&R, up to the 500 S&W. Let me know what you have in mind and I'll get it for you. As far as experience with longshot I have never used it but it seems versatile.

It's burn rate comes in between bluedot and 2400. I tried it in the 41 and 44, but didn't really find anything that excited me much, so I just keep it around for when I want to load some 20 ga bismuth.

I use Longshot in my Winchester 1901 10 ga 2 7/8" using a recipe out of Precision Reloading Inc manual. High velocity and low pressure
Re: Powders - who uses Hodgden Longshot?
Probably not of much interest on this board but Longshot is a great cast bullet powder in the 9MM. Excellent accuracy at top velocities!
