OT-Uberti Regulator price check

Post by awp101 »

I have an Uberti Regulator, 4 3/4" bbl, .44-40 I'm thinking of parting with to consolidate calibers. It came with the bird's head grip (which I still have) but I swapped it out for an 1860 Army grip frame from VTI since it fits my hand better.

I think this is the same thing as the Cattleman but I'm not sure.

What's the going rate on one in NRA VG (80-85% IMO)?

If you will go to Gunbroker and seach the closed auctions you will see the NIB brass grip frame guns sold for $300 to $350. The NIB steel grip frame guns go for $350 to $400. These are the new 2 position base pin safety guns. Your gun is one of the older "D" cam guns. You can figure about $300 to $350

Thanks!

I'm debating what to do. I need to consolidate cailbers and this is the only .44-40 I have.

I could get a .44 Special cylinder for it but the only .44S ammo I have are a couple of boxes of Grizzly loads that I think may be a wee bit much for it.
