Great day at the range today! - picture problem sorted out!

Post by Borregos »

I ran the fifth match of our winter series of silhouette matches today, good turnout despite the -15 degree Celcius temperature to start with. These started out as purely handgun matches years ago, but I introduced leverguns to them a few years ago and it has been a hit! Out of 31 guns shot today 12 were levers.

Shooters on the line:

Good job getting more people interested in lever guns. Now if I could only figure out just how cold it was in fahrenheit!!

Don't know why that is, I did them as normal, maybe I will try them a bit smaller.

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone. Sorry, couldn't help it.

It looks pucker cold.

Coyote Nose -15 C= +2 F. As a reference for you here are some easy ways to remember. 16C=61F, 28C =82. Just reverse the numbers. -18C =0F and they are both the same at -40.

No offense intended to Michigan, that is what I call everything too cold to be habitable by species homo sapien.

-15 is cold. I noticed the guy shooting with no glove on the trigger hand! I allways cut a slit for the trigger finger to poke through and stich around the edge to stop it fraying on my gloves
Good pics :D

Nath,
The guy with the gloveless trigger hand is me :!: :!: However that is my glove on the bench with a handwarmer in it. I am currently on the lookout for some thin glove liners which may help matters :D :D

Yep, doubt you would recognise me on the street though
That is a cup of "Tim Hortons" coffee that my son-in-law had just brought to me when he arrived at the range with the pictured "future levergunner" and his brother :D
His wife (my shooting daughter) took the pictures :D
The "Christmas Lights" are part of our range regulations.
