After a number of years sitting in the lock up my 1910 Winchester 1892 SRC 32 WCF got some work in. After some load developement and a thorough cleaning she is back taking small game. I'm so impressed on how the 92 handles and shoots that I need to get a 44 WCF for deer .
My goal was to have a load that was 1200 fps. I tried 7 different powders to go along with a Lazer Cast 115gr RNFP. From the hood of my truck I shot groups with each load at 50 yds. I had promising groups with Bullseye, Red Dot, Unique, and Green Dot. I settled on Universal Clays because it it gave as good accuracy as the others and it flows better and more consistant out of my powder measure.
115 gr LazerCast
RP Nickle Plated Case
CCI 400 Primer
4 gr Universal Clays
Welcome to the forum and you have a great carbine in my favorite round, 32wcf. I have some Clays Universal so I think I'll try a few loads and see what they will do in my 92.
