Not too long ago, Atwoods was clearancing Sarsilmaz SAR 2000 semiauto handguns. Sort of a copy of the Tanfoglio copy of the CZ copy of the Browning Hi Power. The price was too good to pass up. Turns out it is the most accurate Semiauto I have ever used. It keeps 18 rounds touching at 25 yards with even junk ammo. Comfortable to shoot. The only plastic is in the grip and the magazine follower. I am going to find some checkered wooden grips, and it will become something to have in a holster at a barbecue. No magazine safety. The trigger is nice. I thing Browning would be impressed that someone thought enough of his design to keep it going. Yes, it looks almost old enough of a design to sit alongside of a levergun. Wood grips could fix that.

I purchased a Sarsilmaz semi-auto shotgun a number of years ago (2 decades +). Just couldn't pass up on the deal. Thing runs like a champ. Nothing special about it - just a good utilitarian tool. But those are often hard to find anymore!

A Browning Hi-Power is kind of on my 'bucket list', along with a Winchester 1895, although in the near-term I really need a double-action 22 LR that is decent (but they are SO pricey.... ), and a spare for my CCW Centurion.

Such a 'first world' problem....

My limited experience with Sarsilmaz has been good. They are not well known, but they seem good.
