That's kind of interesting, probably not something I would want, but if it proved reliable and you were into the AR-15 platform, then I guess it has merit. I just gave a 7.62 x 39 AR to my son for his birthday, because I just never used it, but ballistically, they are pretty close.

I think you're too late. seen some the PK marlin site, FB etc. saw at leasr one JM put into a plastic stock with all the fixings. makes you wanna get your hands on whoever did it.

Oh I know they exist, and from more than one seller too. Just think I'd rather see this AR done in .30-30 than any classic turned into an abortion. Those I have seen are burned into my memory, and I wont soon forget any of those ugly things.

The caliber designation and the case will be interesting. Remington produced the .30 Remington for the Model 8 and Model 81 semi-automatic rifles. 30 Remington, a rimless case and competitor to the 30-30 Winchester.

Wonder if it is the same as the .30 Remington.? Ad says 30-30 for the caliber, not 30-30 Winchester.

The 30-30 in a bolt action AR platform may be interesting, I have a bolt action Savage and TC singular shot in 30-30 and hand loads will rival a 308 winchester .

Yes the 340, it was the second gun my dad bought for me, the first was a surplus 7.7 jap that cost about 35 bucks. That 7.7 was pure garbage, so dad traded it and cash for the savage.

My Daddy's rifle was a pre- 64 Winchester '94. I shot a deer with it the year he passed in 2004. My Son, born that year, should be able to use it after I'm gone... MK
