Revelations and our Future

Post by AJMD429 »

This article sums it up well... even athiests have to admit that somehow 'somebody' transcended time and predicted our path pretty well.

The most chilling sentence is "Perhaps most importantly, it showed that fear can accelerate acceptance...".

Liberals live in a state of perpetual fear, so they are the first to cave in.

I'm not scared of "end times".
If anything, (and I don't want to rush the timetable  ) the worse things get, the closer we get to Jesus returning to rule the earth. If you have professed with sincerity your belief in the Good News of the Gospel there is not much to worry about.

If I am around to hear the News claim that a worldwide cult of Christians has gone into hiding, and some even leaving their cars running, then I will reevaluate my life.

Well this was cheery…NOT…… :|

This was recommended to me by a patient who just finished her doctorate in cybersecurity; she said the answers are increasingly lagging the questions and the lag is increasing 'faster than logarithmically'.

I commented that "there sure might be some challenges for our kids and grandkids" and she said "yeah; might be time to hit an old bookstore and buy up 20th century science fiction; they might turn out to be the most reliable 'history' books humans have access to in an internet-information based future". She smiled but was partly serious I think. Most young people don't own or read books, and while books can be banned or burned, it's way easier for the AI and tech world to scrub the internet and literally rewrite history.

We’d better be ready to unplug the data centers if needed to stop an out of control AI. But it is smart so will make us addicted to the data centers first do we can’t; plus it will easily monitor and decrypt any communication along those lines.

AGI is actually not intelligent. The inability of AGI to follow a past-present-future time sequence is often a giveaway. Of course, anyone in middle school or high school during the Covid lockdown cannot either. The Terminator will be sent back to the future to have killed the victim yesterday.
