Jim just imagine what the moose,bears,caribou,wolves live with on a daily basis with all those blood suckers!
Not experiencing Alaska blood suckers but dealing with the suckers that buzz with a French accent in Quebec you learned to move fast and cover all exposed skin!
We were told by a Canadian game warden that a moose loses a gallon of blood or more per day!

I heard about a couple of those mosquitos that latched onto a caribou and one said, "Let's take down by the river." and the other said, "No! The big ones will take it away from us!"
