I hope they succeed. I am sick of supporting their wickedness with my taxes. They will shrivel up and evaporate once the federal teat withdraws.

Never happen, Except for the 4 big cities NY is as red as any red state.

Roughly the same in California too --- although you get up north close to Humboldt county i bet it starts getting pretty blue (or maybe 420 green? ) - but those somewhat forlorn farmlands of Stockton, Modesto, on south to Barstow, the desert communities, and even San Diego due to the large military presence -- lots of red votes out there overshadowed by LA area and SF Bay area
