I really like bullets that fill the chambers.
I like them getting all the way up into the cylinder mouth.

Well, it certainly makes a statement.

Look in the dictionary for Wide Flat Nose and that picture would be under the pronunciation!
What are they, 44,45?

Both are old model Rugers one in .357 and the other in .45 Colt.

That's about the widest meplat I ever saw on a 357 bullet. Very nice.

That’s a 170 grain bullet from Rim Rock Bullets. Beautiful bullets with nice flat bases.LeverGunner wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2024 12:32 pm That's about the widest meplat I ever saw on a 357 bullet. Very nice.
The .45 Colt is loaded with Rim Rock Bullets 270 gr Keith. (Which is fairly close to the RCBS 45 270SAA bullet with a slightly wider and shorter nose.

Thank you, but I think this was only about 10 yards.

Perusing their catalog shows some interesting designs and competitive pricing for their cowboy & standard bullets. The top shelf & gas-check offerings cost more than comparable factory jacketed. On the standard ones, the fact that some are the same that mister sundles uses in his ammunition is certainly compelling.

Mike Cumpston turned me on to this company. I’ve been shooting similar offerings from competitors but these seem to shoot better in most of my revolvers.
But I have to admit that I haven’t tried any of their premium bullets

I've seen folks that'd miss the target some of the time at 10 yards.Scott Tschirhart wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 6:06 amThank you, but I think this was only about 10 yards.
My buddy and I went out shooting once, and I made a 2"-3" group at something like 15 yards, but off to one side. He sprayed the target all over, but got a single bullet in the bullseye, to which he gladly proclaimed to have outshot me! I was amused.

I have a sample of all of RimRock and Oregon Trails bullets to enter into my catalog. If anyone needs a measurement for one I'm glad to oblige.
