John Taffin
Milt Morrison says John is improving every time he visits him. He said that John is still using the walker but is getting around much better and that he has much more stamina than when I was there.
Last week Jason Cloessner of Lipsey's Firearms, Bobby Tyler of Tyler Gun Works, Brian Pearce and Milt Morrison met with John and presented him with the Number 1 John Taffin Commemorative sixgun that Ruger is making for Lipseys. The first guns will be stainless ... the blued ones will be coming later. I know production is underway but I do not know how soon Lipsey's will be offering them. Serial Numbers begin with the initials "JT." It is my understanding they will come with a Barranti holster. The sixguns are in .45 Colt and come with a .45 ACP cylinder.
EDIT: John tells me that it is his understanding that the holster will cost extra and serial numbered to each individual sixgun.

Re: John Taffin
Really glad John is improving. Milt has my 45 Colt Bisley already and has completed the Taylor throating, its awaiting the other work, otherwise I would be hankering for one of those limited 45 Colts! -Tutt

From John Taffin today: "I'm certainly glad I feel better than I look! I been getting away from the Walker and using the cane and my legs are getting stronger and stronger."

Gun Control is not about guns, it is about control!
Re: John Taffin
Thank you, Jim. Great to hear it.
Re: John Taffin
JT is the last of the “Greats”………at least for my generation……..not much comes out today that I enjoy reading…..Brian Pearce comes up with some good stuff but that’s about it………
JT…..I wish you well my friend…..you need a laugh? Yea, you robbed me of that 4” 1950 Target 44 Spl but that’s OK as there’s no one else I would have enjoyed more getting it. You always wrote that put you there with a bit of mystery thrown in….
The days of walnut and blued steel along with revolvers……CNC ‘ed put together well but no soul.
Milt Morrison made me a Colt New Frontier single action that was a 44 Spl into a 38-40…Beautuful work.
Hey! JT and JT…….John Taffin and Jim Taylor….must be a connection …..006

Re: John Taffin
Great to hear John is gaining so much ground. It is a privilege not always granted as we get grayer. Don't ask me how I know.
