He had to go through all that just for a new fangled HENRY???? I'd understand all that if he bought a '73/'92'/'94 lever, but why go through all that for a HENRY? Just buy a truck and stick a back window gun rack in it and be done with it!

Probably no more than I did in New Zealand when I went for my family reunion! Walking back to my cousin's from lunch at a local pub, I passed a trucking yard with a number of Kenworths... (right hand drive, of course), and the owner of the business said, "...you aren't from around 'ere, are ya?" Boots, jeans, snap shirt & cowboy hat... DUH! Although, actually, yes... but from the South Island! I had to wait to enter the country to have both my boots & chaps checked for any contagions, living on a farm here. You ever had to walk around an airport in your stocking feet? That'll set a cowboy back on his heels. :P

You all have heard the old saying " a boat is a hole in the water into which you throw money". Well a horse is a mouth and a butt into which you throw money. At least you can fish off a boat.

I knew a guy that deer hunted off his horse, sure many others have shot from a horse as well , so I'm sure fishing from a horse isn't out of the question. Unless it's very deep water!

I have worn levis, boots , and hats most of my life. When I was born in 1950, my dad was working as a cowboy on the King ranch in Texas.
He was an OKLAHOMA cowboy, and I was raised as such. first pants I ever wore were Levis, and been wearing them ever since. First shoes I wore were cowboy boots.
Been riding by myself since I was 5 years old , but now I just have a truck, not a horse
