Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

This is a HUGE decision! A major watershed event and I think the Court is on solid ground.

The Second Amendment is a specifically enumerated right in in the Constitution and there is no other right that requires a citizent to demonstrate a "need" prior to exercising the right.

Watch for liberals to lose their minds.

Not right away. Local jurisdictions can still restrict "special" areas where guns are restricted.

Moreover, they can still issue permits. I can see these jurisdictions putting oppressive restrictions in how they issue permits, knowing that they will be challenged by suit.

What gets me is the hysterical (gender-based adjective intentional) response of the New York Governor....

New York Governor, a He-She-It, does not understand that the rabble have lives of their own and are no longer he-she-its slaves.

It's pretty funny to think that these people think you should have to provide evidence that you have an unusual, greater than normal 'need' to exercise your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. I suppose the next thing is you need to demonstrate a greater than average need to express yourself before you're allowed to write a letter to the editor, or a greater than average need for privacy before you can be searched and interrogated without a warrant...???

I'd love to see what the NYC Mayor and NY Governor would think about a law that says you can't Speak Out about a political issue (like, say.... gay rights, or climate change), except within your own home, unless you demonstrate 'special need' to exercise your First Amendment rights, and take a special speaking and writing course that costs a bunch of money...
