I normally don't like LBJ's politics, particularly the twisted way he stopped the incredible social and economic progress blacks were making, by introducing government into the equation, intentionally giving 'just enough' assistance to provide a facade of caring, and get the target group 'hooked' on government handouts, but simultaneously thwarting all other paths to equality.
However, this makes a good thing to remember:

I despise LBJ.
His "great" society evolved into the socialist/woke mess that is killing all of us today.
