HA.....I win again...mmmm model 68....nada....now if we reverse the numbers I have lots of them to award myself.

Saw that old trainer again...he comes flying straight towards our place and I was waving my arms.....he flew in a circle, came down some and headed right back and flew over....

It's like this guy knows me...second time but he was lower this time.....no wing flapping or otherwise flying with a vitriol attitude.

It was 23 when I got to the lot this morning. They say a chance of showers later. Gonna have to warm up some.

Well there! Gotta change stands now. This spot is a little hot for a while.
Quite a shot if I do say so. He come trotting like they always do. I had to swing ahead and find a small spot to shoot through. Popped his deer eatin' carcass though.
I'm packing my beater truck gun 94 I did the wood over on. I know the post 64 guns ain't much, especially early ones like the 68'.
That being said, this thing shoots like the dickens. Best part is I got it for free.
Now I'm in the stand I shot the coyote in last year.

I got a doe last Friday, it’s in the process of becoming spicy summer sausage.
This year I hunted a new block management area since I moved to Great Falls. 60,000 acres of private land opened up to the public, I hunted the east side and only saw three other hunters, one was a lone gal bird hunting.

Jayster. WELL DONE SON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm very proud of you for eliminating another predator........I have no idea what your going to do with it but I'd used to shoot foxes, cut their heads off and drive a 60 penny nail through their eyeball near the base of a post or tree.......come back in a few months ....during the summer........and that baby will be sparkling clean

Hey...you all know Terrence Williams....the black dude who supports Trump?......this guy is cooler than an ice cube .....

He got fed up with the way the country is going and all of the wokeness b.s., especially with the Aunt Jemima being taken off the box.....so he came up with his own pancake mix ......rubbed it all in the noses of the enlightened.

Terrence Williams for President....!!!.....he could have called it "Cuz T's"

Thank you everyone!

Congratulations on the doe Harry! Better eatin than coyote! :D

Let's see.......
Well Gunny, no rain yet. We had a little snow and sleet, but not enough to amount to nothing. Thank God.

Six,
I did that with the last one. Well the head is on an old harrow handle. Probably do the same with this one.

GK,
The pelts can be very pretty, but unfortunately ain't worth the skinnin'.
I hadn't rolled this one over in the picture. When I did.....
That 30-30 blew a hole out the other side about 3 inches in diameter. Right behind the shoulder. I wondered why there was so much blood and innards on the ground.
It did much more damage than the one I shot with the 44 last year.

I shot a yote a few years ago while doing a deer drive. I was on the ground and it came sneaking up from behind me about 40 yards away. It caught a load of 3" 00 buck in the face. After the drive was over I walked up to it and it was so mangy I just walked away.
Pelts aren't prime yet , still growing in the winter coat. Besides the fur market want light colored pelts.

For the record- I predicted you would shoot something today!! :D

That was nice....Jay shooting the yote......adds diversity from the normal humdrum stuff boring stuff.....deer are as easy to hunt as squirrels are anymore....at least in the populated areas where most of them seem to be.

Cut the front yard and here comes a pickup truck....."hey!"...I'm going elk hunting and can you help me with my new $3500 300 win mag sighting it in,....man! Without you I'll have to shoot 2 boxes of ammo...........new Denali pick up...I mean NEW......Going on a probably 10K hunt as his son is going.........new $3500 rifle......guess you know what I told him.....WITHOUT VITRIOL!

This guy is the conservative equal to Old Savage............everything is top of the line...everything......except he votes red....

Love that word.....was taught to me by a very smart man...very smart....I'm gonna use it 50 times a day so I can learn it real good, as well as learning the different meanings, past tenses, accusations, adjectives.....everything VITRIOL.

May even start my own website.......www.virtiol.com........---00

Wheelbarrow?
No dude, we have the 4 wheeler and a trailer that goes behind it. We man not be able to get right to it, but hopefully it's a short drag. I got pretty close to the 216lb buck I shot in 2019.

Deer ain't easy here buddy. Some folks have food plots or farm fields and such. Not us. They come pretty hard. Not too many either, as compared to further south.

I mean we see them spin off and all you can do is let them come back to earth reality after their little trips, entertaining though 😜

Ok let me ruminate on your deer for a bit... I'll get back to ya. Shooting that yote is a good start to more deer. Hey do you take any time to call for coyotes there at the wood lot? Might be a good thing to actively hunt them!

Always wanted to do some coyote hunting! Lot of guys do it here. The guy next to us runs em with dogs. Not in our area though.
We can hunt them at night here, with night or infrared scopes, suppressors, ARs,......anything goes. No closed season and no bag limits.
They use either dogs to run them, electronic calls, or over bait. Most tend to pick one of the three. I used to think bear dogs were tough.......coyote dogs are a whole nother level.
The guys I know who get into it, however, seem to end up devoting their life to it. They no longer deer hunt, bird hunt, or anything. Out running the woods all night and never home. It seems like you have to be all in or don't bother.
I just don't want to screw with my other hunting.

No I don't blame you there, I doubt I could that kind of hunting, I'd be more concerned about my dogs being hurt or worse! All for a lousy coyote- naaaaaa

Ok my crystal ball is kinda fuzzy this morning but the next few days are going to be midday heavy on animal movement, because of the new moon. STAY IN YOUR STAND ALL DAY! Next week I'd plan on some yard work mid days, hunting the mornings and afternoons.
I suspect the rut is about over there, we are at prime rut now here. Remember patience and dumb luck do play in shooting Bambi, keep to the grunt tube warmed up !

LOTS of action here.....(on the board)......not much here at the compound.....very funny story...later on that......

I can still envision Jay's buddy's with the huntin' dogs......four guys jammed in the front seat of a '78 Ford pickup that's all rotted out but has $4,000 worth of tires on it........ with the four speed trans shifter that's about 4' long.......the "Stars & Bars" is prominately displayed and everyone is chugging down beers, laughing, passing gas, Willy Nelson is blasting on the twin speakers that have blown out woofers ......BUT.......those four good 'ole boys are focused on the lead dog that's riding on the hood.

The lead dog, standing erect lets out a "live coon" bark, the other dogs chime in and the brakes come to a screeching halt on the dirt road, sliding several feet. Doors open and the guys jump out with the guns they were holding in their laps, loaded of course...

Willy Nelson is turned down, the beers, some half filled, go spilling on the floorboard which don't matter much as the floors are rotted and the beer sleeps through.....quickly. .....

The cages are opened and here comes fun! ....

18 degrees? Don't believe we had that here all winter...pond never froze up...at all.....global warming is definitely here but it's not man made.....but the "cause" is man made as that provides a bunch of educated people with a living.

Fred.....the "psyche analysis" was already performed on me at work when I wrote, what the company called, "my manifesto" during my charges of harassment and wrong doing against management.......yep, I won.....as usual....without the unions help as they are just as crooked and two faced as management.....it's a character requirement to be two faced with the "educated".

They never bothered with me at all for another 6 years until my most welcomed retirement.....it's easy Fred.....leave this guy alone, he will provide the best of work with a key point of efficiency............let him make his own rules as he knows what is expected of him and won't cross the imaginary line drawn in the sand.......I could load a truck in half the time of others, then take a nap......

I've already been thoroughly investigated by the Feds as to "brain".....and have been cleared to buy any kind of a gun I want....I know the local cops and a few State cops by first name and they shake my hand enthusiastically.......so take your two bit analysis, put it in a glass of cheap wine and call yourself "King of the Mountain".

I'm here Gunny and Jay!!!!! No.no.no.....no Costco........I went to Home Depot last night and spent $75 on 3 volt batteries so I can enhance our solar driven spotlights to twice their brightness.....these batteries are shorter but the same diameter as AA's so I just made an extension from a piece of spring from an old 32-20 magazine spring to make the connection......PRESTO! I'm in like Flint baby!

Six, you were doin good until your analysis in the last little bit. All that you said is quite obvious and sort of why they decided many years ago to let the bread delivery guy steal the day old bread. Became the best employee they had to cover his tracks. Now, I am sure you can beat their analysis. But ;-) when you step into doing analysis that is a different ball game ;-)

Everything you are saying there is old news that you seem to think you discovered and beat. They were looking for a guy like you, strong personality to run the back end. So let’s see, drop a shot in a beer and toast ;-)

Lets see here..mmm....rating are down on the PI thread...like waaaaayyyy down........so let's do what liberals do when the country is starting to get wise to their antics...."create a crisis" or what the little people do, "create drama".

3,000 miles away and I can smell it.........If it was "so obvious" then why did YOU send a board certified and licensed psychologist to interview me in the guise of friendship?

This ought to raise ratings........in the meantime you can hit that "delete button". Poooooooffff! ------------006

Not me....I ain't sappin' nobody. Vera Lynn called me from beyond and said she's headed for Gamekeepers residence and she will appear like she looked in 1944....wow! You believe her...she lived to be 103 just dying last year.

You guys were not paying attention.......the ratings were waaayyyy down so Old Savage and the licensed psychologist (that's secret) deceptively teamed up to "302" me.....yep....it's true. They knew they couldn't kill me so they do what all good liberals do......discredit, defame, make up lies, .......

Yes, THEY tried and succeeded to take me away from YOU, my pals.

The men in white coats got me at 4 a.m., put me in a straight jacket and hauled me off to the funny farm...and low and behold, I met all our past members there, Madman 4570, Junior, Woody Colito, Mike D., Presley Hudstone, and Fordwannabe....(he works there)

The food here is pretty good.......baked beans , fried onions, and hard boiled eggs....three times a day.....

Today, they want me to split firewood...just like being home.... :D .....well, it's my new home.....wish I could tell you more but only smart people are allowed to have internet access more than 15 minutes a day.---ta da!...ooofffff I go to the funny farm, where life is beautiful alllllll the time...

Six? In the funny farm? No way!
Well, at least it would be FUNNY. :D

Jay.....with all those leaves and branches you'd be better off with an 18" cylinder bored Model 12 Winchester with #4 buck...

In your circle of friends you must be the "guy with the golden gun"....Mr Fancy.....high falutin Jay......

If you listen real close you can hear the others say, "look guys, there's that rich guy with the golden Winchester.

Can't see smoke but I can smell those baked beans & eggs! :?

On my way to work this morning, come around a turn and 4 deer standing in the road looking at me with a what do you want look on their faces. I got The Beast stopped with room to spare,, they stood there.. Well I just eased the clutch out and started creeping up on them, the last one finally moved when my bumper was about a foot away- guess they have been taking lessons from the bears in how to be brazen!

Six im sending you a file with a cake in it so you can make a great escape!!

Dropping by Tales from the Crypt to see what dastardly plots I may have hatched. Good news, we’re stocked up on vittles for visitors from the “institute”.
