Yeah that kind of weather goes right to your marrow! Hard to shake it. Though I'm happy you guys got out and got a Dolly( bucket list fish for me)! Hope you feel better quick- they might not let you come home if you are sick!

Final count is 4 black pups, 5 yellow. Dam and puppies are doing well.

Now it's 67 & 93% water content outside, 72 & 39% inside. We had some rain overnight- gonna be another sticky, clingy day. Come on snow!

Glad all the pups are well, Gunny. Figured they were in good hands.
Didn't sleep a whole lot but I feel ok. Little stuffy still, but it isn't in my chest so hopefully I'll be good. I can't remember the last time I had as much as a sniffle. Been years.

110° on the golf course again yesterday. Humidity was up to 27%. Felt good with the hot wind. Quite the contrast with you fellows.

Puppies, fish, golf courses, 110, 72/93.....Jay ... ...where does it all end?.....

Jay...your out of your normal environment...the older you get the less adaptable your body becomes...be like me..stay home and become a blob.

I'll say one thing for dry climate......your bones will feel better but when you look to see what's around you, your stomach will turn upside down....I've noticed my mental state worsens with the humidity and by Lordy, your right Gunny, you can cut the air with a knife. The heat pump took FIVE gallons of water out of the house since I emptied the bucket last night at 10.

Hey! Let's all move to Chicago! Would be a fine place to raise a family and enjoy peace and quiet.

The cops left this one local rapper out and as soon as he crossed the street, he was shot 64 times......and they want US to turn in our guns?

Fred.....I see what your trying to do and it's RIGHT....we should not be focusing on what's happening in the cities but those things do tend to spread.....an old co worker posted what he witnessed yesterday....(Facebook...as per mom)......cop was driving down the road and three bro's purposely threw a bag of trash in front of the cop car......the cop just kept on

Well you can focus all your mental/emotional energy and time on the distant trouble but it will likely only churn you up inside. Better to focus on the pluses that are close by.

That's a FINE group there Mr. Fred....... :D ......to have a group under 2" with any open sighted revolver or semi auto at 25 yards is saying something........22's excepted.....never did believe all of the bravado from the gun mags...

I cannot walk out in the front yard without a horn beeping or a stop by........earlier today my landscaper/tree surgeon buddy layed on the horn.......then ten minutes ago I did a "walk about" as we are supposed to get severe thunderstorms, high winds and possibly a tornado.......moved mom's Jeep out in the yard away from the trees then walked out front and here comes another horn, "hey Jack!" .......it's the township chairman .....he stops and we b.s.....I told him, "thanks for stopping and I'm gonna climb up your A....and I continued by telling him to tell those m....(you know) up in Media they have FOUR years to invoke voter integrity laws or I'm done voting and I'm speaking for a lot of people." He responds, "it's bad, THEY are intent on destroying this country....be prepared."

So there you have it Fred...you snooze----you lose.....and I'm not losing.....

Well now, there’s cheating in the voting so you are going to drop out so they don’t even have to cheat you? Now what sense does that make? That is just st emotional frustration talking and how is that going to win?

Had a lot of nice groups back then. Probably can’t see well enough now. Had a pair of 7 1/2” New Frontiers back then in .44 and .45. Both were very accurate.

"Emotional frustration"........?........I like that Fred...your right.....Beings that your my mentor and spiritual guide, maybe you can confirm this...........

Yes, I am frustrated.....and I feel that I'm (millions of us) powerless in my (our) quest for the hope of a better nation as we should always strive for "betterness", not retardation in our great country.....I don't care who wins as long as it's fair............we all grumbled for 8 years but hope kept us all going and to me, Trump fulfilled that hope............now that's gone.......and so is the hope...

If we all stand by and do nothing, the life we all knew will crumble......

The way I see it, why vote? By not voting and letting the republicans know it, it might be the spark that lights a fire under their a. to get voter integrity laws.

I call it a "reasonable deduction" because I tried it your way and Trump lost.--

The left has no idea what we, the deplorables are capable of.

I spoke to a guy Sunday morning that says he know Mr Trump personally. Guy belongs to Trump National golf course, says he plays golf with the Prez often. Anyhow they played 18 and then Trump jumped on his plane to head for a rally. The man is always on the go- something we can not say about the other side.

Sorry boys........
How many times in the last 30 years have we seen the "Republicans" sweep the midterms?
And do absolutely nothing.

Optimism is one thing.....
Self delusion another.

People will line up to volunteer as gestapo agents to go around vaccine shaming.
That should tell you all you need to know. This country has fundamentally changed. People want free STUFF, not free-DOM.

How many times have I heard about traditional American values "rising up"?
So let's see......
Crusifying a sitting president, burning down half the country, destroying the economy, blatantly defrauding a presidential election......
That just wasn't crossing the line I guess.
This country, as originally conceived,, is officially dead.
Has been for awhile, they just don't need to hide it now.

Yea......Fred has been trying to get me to turn a blind eye to it but that's hard when you've been involved for a lifetime......I fully intend to eliminate politics from my life as the last election was an eye opener as to the massive corruption that's been prevalent in the system since at least WW2. The Constitution has been stepped on so many times it's just a fringe of its former self..

They claim a democracy has never lasted more than 200 years and it looks like we are living in one a half century on borrowed time.

Our guns may save it...probably not......another microbe is coming but this next one will be a killer and a major changer of the world.

I have no intention of adopting their terms.......I'm am separating myself from society......it's a lost cause....a million of those little short people made it over the border in the last six months and it's a good guess their combined IQ is about 14....they are all in need and have little to offer....parasites.....

My wife and I had two children because that's all I could reasonably expect to be able to give a good life to and these whatever-they-ares spit out a dozen and a lot will be be SSI qualified in a few years as the bad genes start to show up.....

Mail in voting is now an accepted way of voting. It was only supposed to be for Covid 19....since they found out how easy it was to manipulate its here for good......

How do you fight that with no voter integrity laws?

I now believe what Old Win said....."they have won".

I'm now officially a recluse.... :D

The Left have been playing " slowly slowly catch a monkey" for years, they have taken over education and the media so that the sheeple are now complacent with the complete dumbing down of the Western World. The fraudulent election was way too obvious for even the dumbest voter to not see through. The fact that it was not fully investigated at the time and those behind it were not shot as traitors is unbelievable and unforgivable.
If this continues the namby pamby pampered people of this world will be become the slaves to those who are hungry for power. Draining the swamp is not enough, the swamp must be obliterated totally everywhere it exists.

Back in 97 we were coming home from a gunshow. Buddy driving, we were bs-in and missed our exit. Take next exit and get Tboned! We were doing 50. One of the biggest issues with getting old is wisdom.....it's works for the better most of the time but sometimes it's works against you.......now, take that pic of the gal holding holding the pole for Fred.......she looks nice...I've always been attracted to dark haired girls...they are wild...not complacent and weak like blondes are....generally speaking.....

Back to wisdom......before we knew any better pictures of good looking girls would get your blood moving to all places in the body. As you age you realize that most of these girls are f up in the head....."I want this, I want that, I need to get my nails done, where are we going tonight, how much money are you going to spend on me, I need a new car, (even though the old one is a year old), I want new furniture, why don't you spend more time with me, I don't like your friends, where did you go, why did it take you so long to get gas, you need a hair cut

Oh Master Gunny.......

A.) 3 h.p.Grizzly table saw...220 volts

B.) after running for about 2 minutes, it shuts off.

C.) wait 5 minutes and it turns back on.

D.) repeat of "B"

Lately, before this, after shutting it off the blade comes to a semi abrupt halt in a few seconds and not rotating for 15 seconds....

I'm thinking it get hot and shuts off with a time delay fuse.....believe the motor is shot......I'm not replacing it as it's a huge thing and probably costs as much as a new saw.........bearings appear tight with no wobble as is the transfer bearing to the blade.

Hmmm, definitely sounds like the motor is over heating. Next time it does that feel the motor casing. Now hook up your compressor with a blow gun and blow out the motor. Believe it or not the motors will suck fine particulate into it.

Ahh what a pleasant day at work. Inside trimming windows & base. Set the central air at 67°. We didn't sweat a drop today. We watched the painters climbing up and down ladders all day sweating like pigs.

Yea Gunny...the casing is hot but what throws me off is the near sudden stoppage of the blade which usually denotes bad bearings.......yea, I blew it out pretty good......I'm going to find a motor rebuilder and have it done.......was looking on the Grizzley website and the one I have is $2700...ouch!....my dad bought it in '99 and I believe he paid about half that for it.

Figure, nothing else can go wrong with em. If I have to I'll rig up a one horse 110v motor I have laying around....I don't do nothing heavy.

Ok so is it HOT or just warm? Warm is normal. Most likely the motor is toast, yeah get it rebuilt, should last a long time. I've had my radial arm rebuilt once. The saw at the lumber yard has been rebuilt numerous times. That was a 14" DeWalt radial arm saw from WW2.

Didn't sleep well, sinuses all stuffed up!

Six, better that you stay lost on this one. It would just get you going and your bp up.

Hot Gunny.....after only a few minutes of running.....

Hot outside too.

Think I'll stay lost...less aggravation....never was very worldly......I have been accused of being "sheltered" many times.

My sinuses have been stuffed up since I was about 8 years old. My nose has been broke a few times...yea..."few"....and it only gets worse.

Well, I learned how to make colored cement.....I was doing a small rain gutter project yesterday with white quartz stones and I thought dark cement would look cool with white rock so I dumped in a full bottle of black clothes dye with one bag of cement....worked o.k....two bottles would have been better....

Maybe I'll have a new driveway put in with orange, purple, yellow, and red cement .....people would think I'm from California

Yea...thinking back I must have walked in the woods when I was two and still am there.........

This is what quality is....once you get familiar with quality, you won't give junk or rebuilt good stuff a second look. Then it becomes just a tool instead of a masterpiece.

Beer can accurate to 300 meters.....one of the rarest tang sights ever made by Lyman......just the sight would buy a half dozen Rossi's.

Starting the long haul home. What a great time. So glad to see everyone and to get my parents up there.
Hate having the kids so far away, but at least it's Alaska. They are very happy there, and it's a great place for the grandkids to grow up.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.

Gee if I were you I'd throw a tantrum at the airport so they would put me on the do not fly list just so I could stay in Alaska!

Sure seems short don't it? Blink of an eye and it's time to head out.....but to be resumed when ya get back home.

Everyone sure looks happy and content.....the problem with modern society/technology is that it's very easy to live about anywhere and families drift apart......near everyone I ever knew growing up lived in a 15 mile radius....in my wife's family they all lived on the same plot of ground and the same went for her uncles'.....they all owned farms and the kids built on them.....

Have a great trip back and don't forget to share some gas on the airplane with the other passengers. Have a couple mouthfuls of Moose jerky, a few eggs and some cheap beer....

Hot is the present word.---00
