Thanks Jack, hopefully its not too late to fix the problem with surgery. Its terrible, the docs she has been seeing for years to manage the pain haven't done squat to fix the issue! One of the reasons I keep my distance from MD's! Now if Doc AJ was here I'd stop by just to visit
Now Mom is at a different doctor/ hospital, a spine specialist.

You sneaky ... another page- guys we gotta stop this reign of terror by Six!

Sorry to hear about your Mom Gunny, I hope she can get some relief from the pain and some sort of fix for her spine.

I missed the slug christening, at least they didn't die nameless... :? Six, I don't know that brand of slug killer but the stuff they sell over here is deadly to dogs and no antidote.

I have looked at a few package trips to the Western States but a lot of them include three days in Law Vegas, now no disrespect but I wouldn't want three hours there let alone paying for three whole days. tinsel and glitter just don't do it for me.
I had to smile at two old ladies that were in our party on the Arizona trip complaining about stoping in Tombstone...they said it was an awful place.... 🌵🌵🌵

Good ole Donald......what a building.........I prefer a log cabin with an outhouse with trees and a creek running through it. For everything you bring into your life, even if it's a used toothpick, you add to the clutter of the mind.

Simplicity is my inner motto.......

GK! The Queen had to quit drinking! You tell her that 6 said that you can have her old allotment.

Ran the heck out of that Ego hedge trimmer today......that baby slices right through 1/2" limbs like nuttin.

Might head to the club tomorrow ....very good buddy/wood supplier/old huntin' compadre desperately needs my expertise on two guns...one is a .378 Weatherby.......more felt recoil than the 460....sorry, I'll tell him what to do, I ain't shootin that thing....it'll detach my retina and blow me outta my Redwings.---00

Six you sound like a buddy of mine, he always says ' I want a tin castle on a hill' his tin castle is an airstream camper- simple and that is what we all want!

Naw ive no use for Vegas or any other large city.

Tomorrow is the hunt clubs annual shoot, I'm in charge of it and last year I hired a guy with a portable sporting clays setup. It went over so well we are having him back tomorrow.

Well Six we ain’t the same on that. I like to be out and about at times. Talked to maybe eight women I did not know in the restaurant and the casino. 6 blondes from Minnesota, Texas, New York,Trenton. Walked 6 miles at the golf tournament. Like to be out and about.

OK Fred...I totally understand that.....you are an extrovert where I'm the opposite.....for me, a very few close friends whom I can trust my life to....screw everyone else as they will just use you like a wet rag...

Does our multiple "private threads" give you a clue?

On another note, where my inlaws would have 100 deer to process by now.....only maybe 25.....there's plenty of deer all over....in fact, as I write this mom says, "look at the buck running across the front yard!" I hear people are afraid because of the Covid in deer......dunno know, mom just came in a half hour ago with 50 lbs of Amish black angus.

Waiting for my bud to show up for the free ride to the gunclub....

Last minute this morning I remembered we had fish being delivered this morning so I had to go dump fish. Then I got home and tried to get info on Mom, like pulling teeth between the covid recordings, nurses following the patient privacy laws, was finally told no we can't give you any information. Finally get connected to her room and she says they wanted to discharge her last night! Ok I know she is confused. So I call my sister, she called there and got the scoop. Not being discharged, the spine specialist is on the case and a course of action is put in place. Hopefully they can get an answer that WORKS! My other sister is on the way there. Only 2 visitors at a time, masks required, gotta pass the temperature test.

As per Fox News,

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson on Monday charged Trenae Myesha Rainy, Carless Clark and Nancy Juanita Williams in connection with fraud. A state investigation resulted in accusations that the women purposefully filled out ballot applications and ballots incorrectly during the November 2020 general election.

Cummins power baby! The 5.9L could easily be boosted to about 1000horse by just swapping the turbo and coughing up the Bens on injectors. Mine is sill stock at 325 horse and it's staying that way!

Yup. Those diesel pickups are a bigger money pit than a Jeep.
Seems like everyone has them now. I looked at one of the old Cummins Dodges when I bought my 1990 Dodge. Just wasn't worth it for me for the extra money. It was 5k more. A whopping 19k for the truck haha.

Need I remind you guys, 17k, 146 hp, 27 mpg around town with the new plugs and filter. The thermometer, Baker, Ca - without the thermometer and the Mad Greek Baker would be another drive by in he desert. All more interesting than who had how much rain ;-) or what socks you are wearing today.

Fred,
You need to do away with that two cylinder nothing and get yourself the academia approved Prius. :D

The guy with the above Dodge diesel....he has lots of loot......we were headed to the gunclub and we approached a covered bridge. I exclaimed to him that this bridge was built in 1880 and it runs over the Brandywine river....he laughed and called me a retart saying it's the east tributary of the Octororo......we bet......if he wins, I have to give him my Rubicon. If I win he has to buy me the Rossi I have always wanted.

He won and when we got back to my house he jumped in the Jeep while it was in the garage all shiny and clean....He looked at me and said, $25,000?

Me, "get back in your dumpy Dodge."

Bedtime.....got up early today...9:15----00

Around here that 27 mpg would be lucky to average 20, always climbing hills, lower speed limits and then throw in the salt and it would be rusting underneath by spring. I won't even mention its 2wd. That's a perfect SoCal ride but you wouldn't want it here part of the year.
Prius? Oh you mean the extremely environment destructive battery powered car that's gonna save the planet? Yeah the people that have them are blind to the fact that lithium has way more consequences than an oil pipeline!

43 this morning, guess it's time to burn the pellet stoves( the stink bugs that are in the chimney and that cooks em) then I can pull the stoves and clean the chimney and be set for winter.

As you guys know, my wife volunteers for Shepherds Beyond Borders. It's a great organization that rehabs and re-homes Shepherds that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned (people suck).
It is nation wide and uses relays to transport dogs from where they are found to rehab volunteers and to their final homes. They are made healthy and given all shots. They are spayed/neutered if not previously. If too young, the procedure is paid for by the organization for the new owner. The new owners have to pass an interview process and pay $500 to cover the cost of rehabbing the dog. So, they get a pure bred Shepherd for 500 bucks (they do a dna test if needed to check pedigree). Puppies go very quick.
The wife was doing a transport of an 8wk old female on Saturday. Gracie was from a rescued female that turned out to be pregnant. My wife started on her trip with Gracie and marveled at how calm, quiet, and well behaved she was. She was an hour down the road when her phone rang and the woman that runs the rehab center said the deal fell through. My wife had the northern most leg of the trip. The dog was slated to go to Massachusetts (poor thing). The new owner, in a last minute confirmation call, admitted they were going to put a shock collar on the 8wk old pup. Boom. Done. Now understand, neither my wife nor I have any issue with collars per se', this was the organization. Still, at 8 weeks I would say I agree.
She asked the wife if she would be willing to foster the pup until they could find a suitable home. My wife said sure.
By the time she got home, an hour later, we had a new pup.
The wife was surely in love with the little dog, and she with the wife. Guess I am too.
Say hi to Gracie. At least she didn't have to go to Massachusetts. Waste of a good dog. Incredibly well behaved. She sleeps all night. Shows high intelligence already. Very pretty pup. I will get better pics later.

Hey!....great Jayster......all we need now is for Gunny and "2 cylinder" Fred to get a new dog.

"2 cylinder Fred"....... :D ...I love it! Real men drive gas gusslers....big diesels, hemi's, worked over in lines.....ALL with low geared axles and throaty exhausts........ my Rubicon maaay get 11 around town.......I can see 556's and 35's in the future.....

On to shock collars......during hunting training and used by someone who KNOWS what they are doing, it's a necessary evil.....For those lazy bums who don't want to fence off a part of their property, shame on them........Pitbulls and other habitually mean dogs exempted.......our dogs half at least a half acre to run free.......our new Pepe (still have not renamed her)....is exploring everyday.

I HATE any kind of a cage except for absolute necessity......sooner see some people in cages....

Well Jayster...we are all positive that the new pup could not have had a better home...Kudos to Kristy......I see she keeps her phone in the left rear pocket.... :D

The smartest thing those car guys ever did was make those cars that are supposed to be fast LOUD. There is a four way stop near Lockheed by the eighth hole. All afternoon you can hear those cars take off from those stop signs so the “real men” can apparently remind themselves that they are “Real Men” ;-)

2 cyl Fred,

I too, dislike loud vehicles......I hear more and more of them in our once very quiet community.......heres the positive part of it......it shows the weak that there are still strong men out there.........strong men bring attention to themselves..ever notice?.. :D ... ......big trucks, big guns, big belt buckles, big loud motorcycles, .......it's all a constant reminder to the liberals that we are "strength in waiting".....and I'm not laughing............liberals want everyone to be like them, WEAK

Yes, you were enjoying a round of golf in a quiet setting and those vehicles were annoying...I understand totally.......but to outlaw others legal activity in order to please you is wrong.

In rural areas you don't see weak people ...you see people with common sense with an "eye for an eye" attitude.....most everyone carrys a LEGAL gun.......it works as we don't have crime like the cities do.....we are not constrained with handcuffs.......we are free and we respect other people's property and the sweat that it took to get those things.......We respect those that are different and need help and will be the first to help......just look at that black animal that raped a white girl on the subway in Philly the other day while others watched.....I would have capped that animal right in his head had I been there.

Yesterday, at least a couple of thousand OFF-ROAD motorcycle and ATV's rode through the streets of Philly....cops could not do nothing...if I was mayor I would have blockaded off the streets and hauled every machine into a compound yard and then charged each owner the maximum fine if they wanted it back.

I'm not being argumentative.......people are animals and in a tough world you need tough people......

I love this picture.----00 a.k.a. "Inline 6"...hey! Ya like dat...Inline 6? My Jeeps are Inline 6's.... :D

WW II was won with 4 cylinder Jeeps, drove some in the National Guard. We had the WWII stuff. 6 cyl. … civilian play stuff, hobbyist vehicles for the most part.

But of course still a semi free country … you can tell yourself any story that you like.

What year is your Rubicon? It has v 6, am I right Jay?
Inclined engines are the best torque as no matter what 2 cylinders are in the power stroke. Herr Diesel may have died penniless and his corpse picked over by some French scum on the beach but the guy KNEW what he was doing!
Since the exhaust rotted off my truck and it was gonna be upwards of 600 ( wholesale) to replace it all I decided to heck with that ! I got a short length of 4" and a bend and now my Cummins is loud but boy howdy I dont have to worry about a deer running in front of me!

No. I have a 4.0 inline. The 4.0 is a modernized 258. As a matter of fact, a popular modification is to put a 258 (4.2) crankshaft in a 4.0 and make an instant "stroker" that makes massive torque.
The V6 started with the JK in 2007. All TJs (97-06) have inlines. Either the 2.5 4 banger or the 4.0 six.
The V6 was used in the Jeep before the inline due to space constraints. The original CJs, the 2A, 3A, 3B, all M series and the CJ5, had an engine bay made for a 4 cylinder.
They installed the Buick 225 Dauntless V6 first, in the early 60s. This was an excellent setup in its own right. They next stuffed V8s in because they would fit.
From 1972 to 1975 were the "transitional" CJs. They lengthened the cowl between the windshield and hood so the inline 6 would fit. First, the short lived 232. Then the 258, an excellent engine. The original CJ5 had an 80 inch wheel base. At this transition and after standardization, it became 86 inches. All CJs, YJs, and TJs used this cowl dimension since. With the advent of the CJ7 in 1977, the 94 inch wheelbase made its debut. It was used for all of CJ7, YJ, and TJ production.
Starting with the JK, everything changed.

Yeah. I like Jeeps.

Well OW, you do seem to know Jeep’s.

Never did much off-roading. What I did do was with an armored personnel carrier.

Yeah Jay I know all that, what I meant was for you to back me in correcting Six about his Rubicon having a V6 ( or is his Rubicon older than I think?!
My 08 Rubicon had the V6 hamster engine, woefully under powered and lacked the torque I was used to in my 88 but those 2 combined didn't hold a candle to the Cummins.

She is a cute pup for sure! Big question is what does Zoey think? Remember to not neglect Zoey or she will pee in your shoes!

Haha sorry Gunny. You know me and Jeeps. Yes, you are correct regarding Six's Rubicon. It's a TJ Rubicon, like mine. As such, it has the 4.0.
Yes, the early JKs had the the 3.8 V6. They call it the "minivan motor", because it was adapted from other platforms. You are correct in that the torque is lacking. My good buddy has one with way over 100k on it, 35" Cooper STTs, and stock 4:10 gears. To watch him pilot it, you'd never know it was lacking. He is an excellent driver, and that is what matters most.
The later JKs, Grand Cherokees, and JLs have the 3.6 Pentastar. I was skeptical, but it is a pretty good engine. Kristy and my mother have them in Grand Cherokees. My son has one in a JL Unlimited Rubicon. It does well. I have driven ours and his a fair amount.
HOWEVER, I still consider the 4.0 Inline the best stock engine ever put in a Jeep.

The mighty 304! Lotsa OOMPH in a little CJ5. I almost bought a 76 with a 360 about 20 years ago. I knew the kids were going to be driving soon so I bought a 4 banger TJ instead. :D
I never drove a CJ with the 401. Don't know as I'd want to. :D
