183 yards with a red-dot scope and shorty AR...

Post by AJMD429 »

.
...and the target was shooting back...

I hope the backstop was safe though; looks like a crowded residential area. In this case, accurate shot placement rendered the issue a moot one.

Wow, the officer was sure calm and nonchalant about all that. Glad he was there. -Tutt

Perp had 300 BO, a .223 and a .45. Anybody missing those?
Kind regards,

Yep. Did you catch the early part of the video where he was sipping from his coffee cup up until he stopped the vehicle...?
Then he pretty much just gets his AR out, shoulders it, and it looks like he just takes one shot, and bad guy DRT.
Looks like someone good enough at shooting to just calmly do it, without fanfare or hesitation or jitters.

My guess is that the guy is a hunter. The hunters I know don't spray bullets in a "shoo shoo away" manner. They know when they have the shot, " I've got that " and it's not a question.

One description made it sound as though it were a firing squad operation with one loaded firearm. sounded like " numerous rounds were fired at the "suspect", and one of them killed him."

I think the one who killed him knew he had the shot before he parked his mug.
