Since Blaine posted about his daughter and her new business venture ...

Post by JimT »

My daughter and her husband (who is a levergunner) recently opened an Air B&B/VRBO in San Antonio. A video is here ...

Photos here ... https://www.vrbo.com/2846752?adultsCoun ... Id=3418785

They have worked really hard getting this place ready to go, made a lot of sacrifices and I am proud of what they have accomplished. Both my daughter and my son-in-law were raised to be self-reliant.

If anyone from Leverguns thinks about maybe booking in the future, when you contact them mention my name and the Leverguns Forum.

Nice place. I hope they have all of the proper insurances. There's an Air B&B down the street. It's been trashed twice. The first time the owner didn't recover a dime as the renters were foreign nationals. His insurance didn't come close to covering the repair costs and lost of income.

The second time he had his ducks in a row and made out much better.

The other problem with the property is that on several occassions people have rented it for the sole purpose of having a large, loud and unruly party. The sheriff had to come out several times including breaking up a rather large (superbowl) brawl. The owner is not one of our favorite people. He's been put on notice that steps will be taken to have his registration pulled. So nice to have a retired lawyer on the block. And he really enjoys this stuff (just another grouchy old guy :D ).

They have it pretty well covered. There is always more to learn and they are open to learning.

This is wonderful. God Bless their venture.

Exactly!

That's really impressive Jim! Some kids listen to what you try and teach them and others, well I guess they have to make their own mistakes before they realize that they should have listened all along.

Good for them and a prosperous future!
