Met a Levergunner today

Post by OldWin »

I got a PM outta the blue the other day. Our own jkbrea got wind my sons and I were in his neck of the woods. I had no idea. This gentleman invited my 3 sons and I to a visit. Not only that, but he drags out his own iron and ammo for us to shoot!
I'm humbled by this show of generosity and friendship. First class guy. We talked hunting and guns till we had to take off for plans we had with the wives. Bummer. :D
He needs only to reach out to OldWin if he ever gets up to Maine.
Anyway, I just had to mention this.
Thank you, my friend. We had a great time.

Nice.

I tongue in cheek asked on a British forum if anyone had any unwanted 308 bullets I can have and two gents have stepped up. One only lives 10 miles or so away too. Some good folks still left fortunately 😊
Psalm ch8.

Because I wish I could!

Thanks OldWin! It was great, but short visit. Next time you all come out, I'll show you some great fishing holes, 4x trails..and more guns!
PS...you have some great sons. Made me miss mine, but ones coming elk hunting next week!

Yes, I am very blessed to have the family I have. I'm so glad to hear you will be hunting with your son. Those are the best times.
Whoa! Trails? Oh man, I kept saying all week I wish I'd had my Jeep out here!. Saw what appeared to be rentals just up the road from you. There were a bunch in various states of trail readiness. We are a big Jeep family. I have an 03 TJ Rubicon Ive had since new. I have a 22 Gladiator, as does my oldest son. My wife has a 14 Grand Cherokee. My youngest has a 19 JLU Rubicon, and my middle son and his fiance have a 19 JLU.
Oh, my mom has a 18 Grand Cherokee and my dad has my old 97 TJ.
