Old friends

Post by Scott Tschirhart »

Ed wasn’t a big man or outwardly impressive. But he was a good and steady hand and I never had to wonder if he had my back. This is our last photo together at Gunsite and Ed was wearing a red shirt.

Former lawman and eventually the head range master at Gunsite. He was a good friend. Ed Head passed away quietly at 2am this morning.

I have plans to be in Paulden AZ for the Gunsite Alumni Shoot on the first of October and I had hoped to visit with him one more time.

Its probably better this way, he is beyond hurting now. We all go down that road.

I have been talking with Rob Leahy this last couple weeks. He shared with me he had been visiting Ed and his wife and praying with them. Ed was ready to go and I look forward to meeting him again when it is my turn.
