I gave my Smith&Wesson 27-2 , 5" 357mag to my baby boy for a medical school grad present ( along with an HK P7M8, he's a really good man). Dumb huh? Now I feel better :D

Three decades ago a friend gave me a Ruger Redhawk as a med school graduation gift. Said something about 'a career dedicated to protecting life'. Hard to argue against that...!

Took my new to me Browning 92 out yesterday.Happy! happy! Cycled 357magnum and 38Special loads nicely. Got 3 shots under 1 1/2" at 100 yds at 100yds with the buckhorn sights, 2 other shots opened it up to 2 1/2".. This is with factory 158gr JSP (Aguila).now to find a 38cal bore guide to protect the crown when I clean rifle.Ill post some pics of groups next trip to range.

Congrats. They are worth waiting for.

I’d been waiting to pick one one up for years and when I finally found one I wasn’t disappointed.

Enjoy your new toy.

I’ve tried some factory 38 Spec and seem to cycle OK. My rifle doesn’t like SWC’s in either 38 Spec or 357 cases.

You can make a bore protector by cutting the end off a 30-30 empty case.

That's fancy and looks good Jim. I carry a string in my pocket and some paper towels. Drop a loop to the breech, wad up a piece of a paper towel, get it started in the chamber and soak it from the muzzle with whatever oil happens by. gets out all the hemlock needles and rain water and salt spray and whatever else found its way in there. Usually no one believes me when say this. I'm use to it. >LOL
