I put an old Redfield 3x9, that I can't remember where it came from, just to get an idea what it can do.
Started at 50 yds on a bright, sunny morning that was mid 60s. Winds were gusting to 15-18 mph or so, but got stronger by the time I was done.
Started with a 204 gr. LRNGC and 20 grains of IMR 4198. Started way out left and worked my way in. This has been a good, soft shooting target load I've used for some time. That last shot below the rest of the others was my fault. Getting used to the trigger.
Middle target; Factory 200 JSP Core Lokt. Right target is 200 gr. Rem. JSP w/ 36 gr. Varget. This has been an accurate in the Marlins I've had.

Moved out to 100 yds.
JSP/ Varget load went into 3 1/4" with a 4" flyer.
Factory Core Lokt stretched out to 5" but that's when I noticed the reticle was moving.
Then I remembered why it was in the closet!

I think next time out, I'll run it with the iron sights and see how I do.
Still a nice day to be outside.
