Been awhile

Haven't posted in quite some time. Been really busy baby sitting the grand children and trying to build a few guns. I check the post here a couple times a month but that's about it. I never thought being a grandpa would take up most of my time like it has. I really love em but wish I had more energy to keep up with a two year old and a ten month old. Tonight I can't do much since I'm cleaning out for a colonoscopy tomorrow. So I figured I'd post a few of my most recent projects, three rifles and a pair of pistols. Wish I had two of me one to work the other to be with the grand babies.

Welcome back, beautiful Guns. And yes despite how much You love them the Kids will run You ragged. when covid first hit we had two seven year olds one 6 and one 4 here doing school everyday. I don't think My wife will ever be right again , it's like they have an energy drain on You. Hang tough.

I'm guestimating I'm another 10 years off from grandfatherhood. Maybe 5 if I'm lucky. Don't know how I am going to keep up!!!

Those rifles and pistols are fantastic.
Did you do the checkering on the pistols? Looks very fine.

All I can say is WOW old time craftsmanship turning out beautiful firearms and no doubt bringing up grandkids to appreciate the finer things in life too ! brilliant... 8)
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

REAL nice guns, good job!
As far as the kids go slow down, they WILL be the death of you!
One couple I knew had a couple kids and when they were at work the wife's mother would take care of them. It led to an early grave! :(

Thanks guys. Nath, I did do the checkering on the pistols. The checkering goes all the way around the grip and was a bit of a challenge.

Fantastic! Hondo you ever take any varnishing tips from violin makers? They've been working maple for many centuries. I ask because having looked at these pics a number of times, the color is awesome. The checkering is striking as well. Well done. :D
I might add that those violin cats might get some good pointers from you.
