What is your age ?

Post by TraderVic »

Kind of quiet here lately, thought I'd pour another cup of coffee and toss out a new discussion...

I'm 68, for a few months longer....

Sounds like TraderVic and I are similar. Some days I feel a lot younger (but not many) and other days a lot older, especially when I do something stupid. Wife asks me what she can do for me and I tell her to turn back the hands of time on my body at LEAST 20 years, 30 would be better!!

56 years according to my birth certificate. 2 1/2 since my death certificate was signed. The hospital morgue employee was a bit surprised to see a Nurse run screaming out of the room where he was sent to pick up a dead body. I got told about it the next day. I do not remember anything from that day other than being told to go back because it was not my time. No clue who told me to go back. The burns from the defibrillator healed within a week.

Pillar, Brian, no words except to say more to you than meets the eye. Glad you survived. I'm taking early retirement at 55 from being a school psychologist for 20 years. The job just gets worse with more demands and my family needs me in SoCal as I am executor of my Mom's estate. Want to work less hard, and enjoy being with friends and family before they also pass. I'll be 63 in May, buts that's just this old dying body. But looking at it in truth, me the man inside, I was born again by belief and now faith in Jesus Christ in 2003! So I'm a happy 19 now, and glad I don't have to go through all them selfish early years again, they're over. And eternity is ahead, and best of all, the best deal in God's plan, I get an eternal, perfectly new & lasting body to boot, sometime very soon when my Saviour returns, and brings an end of all this mess man has made, and making worse!
And this free 100% guaranteed offer applies to anyone willing to accept it! I'm sure glad I did, and know for sure it's real, and no man can take away!

They were hard times Jim......my personal belief is right where most of us are at.....born after WW 2 where lots of prosperity was about, excellent health care, enough loot coming in so retirement can actually be enjoyed, and then die before what's coming........and it's coming....

Lets not forget we are at the perfect age for being greedy and lust after all of those pre war guns. There's never been a time when the average guy can have 20 or more guns and near unlimited ammo. My dad, who grew up in the mountains of western Pa.never heard people shooting for the fun of it....

Here's a nightmare......the year 2040....all of the good guns are in museums or rich people ......and everyone has to resort to having a Rossi.....

That's what I like about you Jim.....you take it with a smile........which is how it's meant to be......

On a serious note, my argument for inexpensive guns is how else can a person who lives in the hood protect themselves? As the overwhelming amount of people who live in the hood are decent and law abiding, these are the people who are most at risk of a crime.

Rossi and Bersa should step up to the plate and hand these guns out and you'd see crime fall....and I'm not laughing.
