Way off topic......

Post by .45colt »

Just a heads up Guys. 10 days ago an empty dilapidated house down the road was burned by the fire dept. the old geezer who lived there was a lifelong hoarder . the people who bought the property put a sign "free scrap steel" "at your own risk". ...the place has been a 5 ring circus for days even in pouring rain. trucks and trailers all day. I couldn't take it and called a local scrap yard and they are paying $220 a ton. .

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

US copper scrap high price hit $4.39 today. Copper is a major indicator when it moves. Watch your power cables and romex. next thing to mind is corrugated cardboard. it's like, is there a fever and then an obstruction?

copper cathode, the international commodity is looking to make new highs . . .

Being a city dweller has it's few perks. But one of them is I set anything metal at my curb with a "free" sign on it, and it's never there more than a few hours at most. Sometimes somebody stops as I'm putting it out and want to help me unload it.

Once in Ca, my brother placed a working washer on the curb with a "free" sign on it. It sat for a couple days. He then put a sign saying $100 on it. It was stolen the first night.

My neighbor did a similar thing. He had an easy chair at the curb with free on it for a week. I got tired of seeing it, and told him to change his sign to $20. That night somebody stole it. He was very surprised that nobody took it for free, but gladly stole it once it was priced.
