A couple gun show scores

Post by ndcowboy »

Found two Winchesters I couldn't live without in the last month. I bought the 1926 Model 55 takedown in 32 special in December in Steele, ND, and found the 1962 Model 94 30-30 this past weekend in Bismarck, ND. Winters are long up here so I think during some blizzard a fellow must have decided to turn the 55 into a deluxe by checkering it. Kind of adds character to the old girl. The 94 is really clean. Both were within my budget which is not the same as Bill Gates so I was quite happy.

Nice. Never had a 55. It's on my list, however.

They both function fine and I've whacked the 100 yard gong out my front door with both, but it has been miserably cold around here so I haven't got to enjoy them much. Thermometer says negative 16 right now. Not looking forward to feeding cattle this morning :D

Good stuff!

i remember going out to feed the horses one morning, started wondering why my hands were starting to hurt so bad. When I got back in my truck the thermometer was reading -13! Not too common in OH, but it happens.

Very nice.

I'd love to find a 94 from 1962 in good shape. Might look for something like that.
