Wife and I decided we don't want kids. We are going to tell them at dinner.

All kidding aside, he is amazing. When we got the Autism diagnosis I really freaked out but his is very mild and he is sooo much fun. Just a happy kid.

We have a granddaughter whose low level autistic, and she's a hoot! Great gal, who got straight "A's" throughout grade school through college, and we're extremely proud of her. She's almost 23 yrs. old now, and it seems like she was a baby just a few years ago.
She's got some quirks that we notice, and some people are maybe put off about because she tends to speak her mind when talking to people. Her friends love that, but strangers often aren't sure about it.

Thata great. Justin is super smart. His daycare teachers are always amazed by the things he knows. Our bughest issue is he doesnt really talk yet. He parrots everything he hears and will use sign language (when he feels like it) but spontaneous speech is rare. He gets a stuff ton of therapy though so its getting better.

Autism can be mild, or it can be a big deal. I know a surgeon who has a mild case of Asperger's. He is a good surgeon. Terrible bedside manner, but a good surgeon. Just keep encouraging that young fellow. He may surprise everyone. If he has a few quirks, just figure out how to work with him.
