30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Wow, I will have to look more into that, thanks for sharing! I do have a few big canisters of bear spray around that have a range of about 25 feet. -Tutt

Re: AMBRACOL
I've been looking for something similar here, but so far no joy. They're big on the "traumatic" rubber ball type firearms right now, but that's a loophole that the government is struggling to close. I'm not sure how the legislation would be on pepper balls, etc here. Haven't looked into it as there's nothing on the ground that I can see. The advantage something like that would have is that it's air (gas) powered so falls into the "unregulated" category for possession and transportation.
All that being said, I don't see much serious use for such an apparatus. Anything that needs shot needs lead, in my opinion. If one needed a way to keep the neighbor's dogs out of the flowerbed, perhaps - but you're asking for a "cruelty to animals" charge in urban areas if you use it. I'll have to watch the video a bit more when I get some time to do so.
