Post by RIHMFIRE »

A REAL REMINGTON 1100 SKEET B 20 GA
I LOVE SHOOTING SKEET, AND MOST OF THE TIME ITS A 12GA.
THIS A 20 GA BUILT ON THE 12 GA FRAME, WHICH I UNDERSTAND IS HARD TO FIND.
I ALSO GOT AN EXTRA BARREL WITH A CUTTS COMPENSATOR ON IT, WHICH I HAVE NOT USED YET
FIRST TIME OUT DOUBLES SKEET, 22 OUT OF 26....YUP IT FITS JUST FINE!

Looks like fun! I've always wanted to try skeet shooting, looks like a blast.

That's a nice collectible gun...I'd say it was built in the late sixties....early seventies.....like new...well done.....12 ga. are common but the 20 isn't...

If you get the original barrel and look for the letters that are stamped on it on the left side close to the receiver I can tell you when it was made.----006

A is for March and w is for '72....according to the blue book. The p and z must be for something different.....usually the first two letters will be close together and other letters will be spaced away.,...

Not bad at all! March of '72 I was a senior in HS, smoking weed and drinking beer and I was chasing lots of "you know what".-----006

I've had all types of shotguns the last 60 years but never owned a semi-automatic scattergun. The 1100 in 20 gauge would be my choice right now, hope I find one in 2022.

If I start shooting skeet again (doubtful with my crappy/achy shoulder) I'd lose the 12 gauges and get a nice O/U .410.....
Same for sporting clays....Might not hit as many, but it would be challenging.

Congrats! I've wanted a 1100 for 35 years now. Did my first skeet shooting at IU back in the 80's with one owned by the school. Fell in love with it! :D
