Bearcat Coyote

Post by JimT »

Not too many people shoot coyotes with a Ruger Bearcat, let alone a 2 1/2" ShopKeeper Bearcat! Al Anderson sent me this from the UP country of Michigan.

Back when we were considered safe enough to have handguns I had a little Spanish Astra Cadix .22 revolver, I popped a Fox with it one evening, can't do that anymore..

When I was a youngster I had 2 Astra Cub's .. .22 Short. I shot a lot of birds and rabbits with those little guns.

Some years back I shot one with a Single Six when it popped out of a treeline and stopped, maybe 40 yards away. Believe I had it loaded with lead bullet solids, probably Thunderbolt. I held careful and it hunched up at the shot and bolted 50 yards, where it somersaulted and died. I had it it right behind the front leg at the elbow.
