Jussie Smollett Trial and Verdict

Post by CowboyTutt »

Hard to believe Dan Web took this case on as a Special Prosecutor "pro bono". Unbelievable. You can probably skip the first half of this video link, and be OK. The comments from Webb and the Nigerian Brother's attorney are note worthy. Our jury's are really doing their jobs right now, it is refreshing to see our legal system play it self out, and come to good conclusions. "Nigerian lives matter!" Love it.

I was pretty shocked but the reality is, he wont serve a day in jail. They also did not add on a hate crime enhancement which was BS. Itll be interesting to see how the appeal plays out

.

I think he will appeal and probably wind up getting nothing more than probation. He should be charged with a hate crime against white people for what he did.

Good luck with that Doc.

The Judge has a lot of options for sentencing, from what I'm hearing and reading. In my opinion, the best of which is that he has to make financial restitution to the state and the City of Chicago for the amount of time and expenses involved in his lies. I think that would hurt the most for someone like this.
Nothing you can do except sit back and watch what happens, Tutt makes a great point though, it is nice to see the judicial system working and jurists doing their duty and not being afraid of the propagandist mob.

Dave Chappelle has a great take on the whole thing. "Language warning" for those of you that wish to avoid hearing such things.

True, the juries in these last several high profile cases have been doing their jobs well. They seem to be able to cut through the BS and render justice ... or relief as the case may be.

My prediction is the jury's decision will hold up to an appeal, and the lawyers will just get richer defending Smollet. But I doubt he'll spend any time in jail for this. In the end he'll get sentenced to community service, and repaying the police dept. for some portion of their time lost. Maybe a few years on parole above that.

Now that he's convicted, the Left is outraged that he's being forced to share his cell AND his toothbrush with his attacker. Poor, sweet, Jussie.

I didn't want to give his skit away but everyone has had some time to watch it by now. Dave Chappelle referred to him as that famous French actor "Jucy Smolle' " and used the phrase "Justice for Jucy!" Hysterical! -Tutt

Dave Chappelle is hilarious, and doesn't care what anyone thinks about his routine. He's the perfect politically incorrect comedian!

Have to "ditto" JB's post. I have let the "cat out of the bag" so it may not be as funny, but it still might have some life in it. It was really funny!

I think he would be very popular in prison, and maybe even like aspects of it. But I doubt he will see a single day there. He deserves a whole lot of community service and to make restitution to the national community.
